FMETU Sri Lanka The Federation of Media Employees Trade unions, FMETU, is identified as the "Ancestral Home of Journalists" in Sri Lanka.

It provides a safe haven to all professional journalists and media workers in Sri Lanka. FMETU is an island-wide network of working journalists and media workers trade unions and working journalists unions in Sri Lanka. It is committed to safeguarding the rights of journalists and freedom of expression in Sri Lanka. FMETU also carries out capacity building of journalists to enhance professionalis

m and contribute towards a culture of public service journalism. FMETU works in partnership with the International Federation of Journalists,( IFJ )
