Faculty Vs College - Awarding Ceremony 2025

The Sri Lanka Law College Main Hall came alive for the awarding ceremony of the Faculty vs College Encounter – 2025. In the presence of the sportsmen and sportswomen from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, the evening was a celebration of sportsmanship, unity, and spirited competition.

In a memorable conclusion to the inaugural encounter, the Lakshman Kadirgamar Challenge Shield was awarded to Sri Lanka Law College, with both institutions marking the occasion as the beginning of a lasting sporting tradition.

Day 03 – Faculty vs College Encounter 2025

The excitement hit new heights on Day 03 of the Faculty vs College Encounter – 2025!

Jointly organized by the Law Students’ Union of Sri Lanka and the Sports Club of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, this day saw spirited battles for the Lakshman Kadirgamar Challenge Shield. Cricket and Rugby took centre stage, with every play and tackle electrifying the crowd at the University of Colombo Indoor Stadium.

⚖️🏊‍♂️ Proudly Making Waves – Dual Swimming Championship 2025! 🌊🐬

The Law Students’ Union of Sri Lanka Law College is proud to organize the Dual Swimming Championship 2025 in collaboration with Puttalam District Dolphin Swimming & Lifesaving Club, under the full endorsement of Sri Lanka Life Saving (SLLS) – the national body for Lifesaving and Water Safety in Sri Lanka.

📍 Venue: National Swimming Pool Complex, Albert F. Peiris Sports Complex, Wennappuwa

This event aims to promote fitness, water safety, and survival skills among aspiring legal professionals while fostering friendship, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Truth, Justice & Reparation – Putting an End to Forced Disappearances, Torture & Killings.

The Law Students’ Union of Sri Lanka hosted a powerful discussion with Mr. Saliya Pieris, PC, Dr. Gehan Gunatilake AAL, Commissioner of Human Rights, Mrs. Himali Kularathna, AAL and Mr. Brito Fernando, Chairman of the Families of Dissappeared (FOD), on ending forced disappearances, torture, and murder on the 5th of August 2025 from 3 P.M. onwards at the Sri Lanka Law College Main Hall.
As future guardians of justice, we pledge to stand with victims, uphold human rights, and ensure such tragedies never repeat.
