HORSEBACK OR NOTHING😅🐎

Losing a backpack is stressful enough.

But losing one in the middle of the Mongolian Steppe?!?!? SO MUCH WORSE😭

We’d arrived at a new camp and I realised my backpack had gone missing 

The problem is I didn’t have clothes inside or something easily replaceable..

It had around $5,000 worth of camera gear that we rely on to film our travels, and with almost no landmarks around us, I genuinely thought we’d never see it again.

Thankfully, we’d attached a MiLock by mili_innovation before the trip!!!

Using Apple’s Find My we were able to track exactly where the backpack was and get everything back. (Also works with Android)

On horseback obviously because that’s how I get around now 🐎🐎

Honestly, it turned what could’ve been a disaster into a very stressful story instead😅

MiLock looks just like an ordinary luggage lock - but the tracking’s built in. Plus it’s TSA-approved, so it doubles as a proper travel lock.

I thought you just... sniffed it? 😭🇲🇳

Turns out I was VERY wrong 😂

One of the first traditions we experienced after arriving at a nomadic family’s ger was trying traditional Mongolian to***co s***f.

I confidently went to pinch my nostril... only for my friend to swipe my hand away before I could embarrass myself😭

Apparently there’s actually a proper technique, and I was about to fail it IMMEDIATELY.

The s***f is traditionally kept in beautifully decorated s***f bottles and is often offered as a gesture of hospitality and respect🇲🇳❤️🙌🏼

It was such a cool experience learning the customs behind it instead of just jumping straight in😅

This is exactly why I love travelling. It’s the little cultural moments like this that end up being some of the most memorable. ❤️🇲🇳

this will be keeping me awake at 3am for the foreseeable future 😭💀

I was trying so hard to be respectful that I somehow managed to make the whole situation even more awkward 😂

Apart from completely embarrassing myself, I’ve been having the BEST time in Shenzhen.

This city has genuinely blown my mind. Every single day I saw something that made me feel like I’d accidentally travelled a few years into the future 🤯

I’ve got so many videos coming from this trip because I genuinely wasn’t prepared for how advanced the technology is here.

I honestly don’t know how long it’ll take the rest of the world to catch up... but China is on another level 🇨🇳👀

Controversial … but I actually felt less stressed about my phone in India than I do in London 👀🇮🇳🇬🇧

Travelling around places like Kerala, Varkala, Guwahati and Meghalaya completely challenged the narrative I’d always heard before visiting.

I was filming freely, walking around with my phone out, and never had that constant “watch your stuff” feeling in the back of my mind.

Meanwhile, in London? My phone is basically welded to my hand 😭

Obviously every place has its risks, and this was just my personal experience. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be careful anywhere.

But it’s a reminder that the internet doesn’t always tell the full story.

Mongolia’s Black Market has one unspoken rule... 😂🇲🇳

We headed to Ulaanbaatar’s famous Black Market to try on traditional Mongolian Deels, and within a few minutes we learnt the one thing nobody tells you...

Apparently, you’re not meant to look too excited when trying something on😂

If the seller can tell you absolutely love it, your bargaining power suddenly isn’t quite as strong🫣

Safe to say I wasn’t very good at hiding it because I completely fell in love with the traditional Mongolian Deels😅🇲🇳

The colours, craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible, and I can honestly see why they’re such an important part of Mongolian culture❤️

I actually ended up buying one (just not this one 😅), and it’s one of my favourite souvenirs from Mongolia😍

Trying on traditional clothing is one of my favourite ways to experience a new country, and this was easily one of my favourite experiences in Ulaanbaatar😍

I wish we had nice traditional clothing in England😭

Has anyone else noticed these memorial posters for IDF soldiers literally EVERYWHERE?

I’ve now seen them in Sri Lanka, China, Thailand and even here in Mongolia.

Am I the only one who’s noticed this???

A bit of a vulnerable one❤️‍🩹👇🏼

I never planned to go sober (or really wanted to either??)

I love going out, I love partying, going to raves, socialising - I really am a social butterfly

But it came to the point unfortunately when I was praying before a night out that I wouldn’t embarrass myself, and be awful to those around me😭

I’d go out with every intention to not take it too far (and tbh a lot of the time I managed to do this and I’d wake up in the morning and feel so relieved)

But it’s the times where I didn’t stick to it. When all my inhibitions went out the window and I’d have such horrendous hangxiety - honestly it was awful😬

So I made the decision to just stop.

I’d be lying if I said it was 100% easy - there’s been times where I’ve wanted a drink, at the pub in China when I was watching a football match🇨🇳, looking at the Milkyway on the Steppe in Mongolia🌌, with my friends catching up etc🥂, the fact it’s the WORLD CUP!!!⚽️

BUT. All of that being said it’s not worth it for me anymore

Also, it’s weird just not really having any outlet and just having to face my emotions head on - it’s a strange journey really 😅

Anyway, I’m really proud of myself and I’m really trying to become the best version of myself ❤️🙏🏼

How long until the US & UK catch up??😅🇨🇳

One of the things that completely blew my mind in Shenzhen was just how futuristic the city feels🤖🦾

We jumped into a completely driverless taxi, watched food get delivered by drone, tried an exoskeleton suit, and even got luggage tags laser-engraved with our faces🤯😍

Before visiting, I knew Shenzhen was known as China’s tech hub... but I didn’t realise quite how much of the future is already happening there?!!

None of it felt like a gimmick & these are things people are actually using🤯

This driverless taxi definitely took some getting used to though🤣

Watching the steering wheel turn itself while nobody was sitting in the driver’s seat felt like my brain couldn’t quite process what was happening 😂🤖

I’ll be sharing more from the drone deliveries, exoskeleton experience, and the rest of our Shenzhen tech tour soon because honestly, this city deserves its own series🤣🇨🇳

How long until taxi drivers are replaced forever??😳
