�This is Galle Fort, one of the most atmospheric places to visit in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Think cobblestone streets, ocean views at every turn, cute cafés, boutique shops and that iconic sunset walk along the fort walls with waves crashing below 🌊
�It’s slow, scenic and dangerously easy to lose track of time🍃

The street food is delicious - I recommend getting a roti and samosas from Hot Hot Roti near the Lighthouse 😋

DAY 1 at surf camp complete 🌊🏄‍♀️

And we both managed to stand up WAHOOO🥳

We’ve never stayed at a surf hostel before, so this whole experience feels very new for us🏄‍♀️

Tel is trying surfing properly for the first time, and for me it’s my second time after trying it in Kerala, India over two years ago🤯🇮🇳

We’re staying at Kabalana Surf Club in Ahangama, Sri Lanka and this place is sooooo gorgeous!!! (The food is INSANE!!!)🇱🇰😍

We’re surrounded by people heading to the beach together, learning at their own pace, laughing it off, then spending the rest of the day hanging out, eating and resetting before doing it all again 🧘🏼‍♀️🌊🌴

No pressure to be good… just encouraged to try☺️🙏🏼

Honestly, surf hostels make everything feel easier and more social… you don’t overthink it, you just give it a go and see what happens🥰🌴❤️

India can’t be summed up in one feeling. Every place gives you something different…

Sometimes beautiful, sometimes overwhelming, sometimes both at once🧘🏼‍♀️😂

One destination will test your patience, another will restore it🙏🏼

Some places feel calm and grounding, others are intense and unapologetically real😅

That contrast is what makes travelling India so powerful😍

It challenges your expectations, forces you to adapt, and shows you multiple realities existing side by side🌴🛺

You’ll feel joy, discomfort, awe, and confusion… often in the same day🤯

And yes, even in spiritual places, staying aware matters. You can have meaningful experiences and travel smart🙏🏼

That’s India for me … complex, emotional, unforgettable ❤️

Did you know Sri Lanka is one of the most underrated countries in South Asia?🤔🇱🇰

We were driving from Hiriketiya towards Ahangama when our taxi pulled over near Weligama harbour and I genuinely had to stop and take it in🤯

Bright blue water, palm trees everywhere, and a pace of life that feels so chilled🧘🏼‍♀️🌴

After travelling through India, Sri Lanka feels incredibly easy…

Calm roads, kind people, and scenery that makes you pause mid-journey🥹

If you loved Kerala’s landscapes but want something more relaxed, Sri Lanka might surprise you 🌴

We’ve only just arrived, but it already feels special❤️🙏🏼

Trying street food in Delhi for the first time and I’m officially converted 🥹

I had fresh pakora bread from a tiny local stall and it was hands down one of the best things I ate in India😍

If you’re travelling here, please don’t instantly write off Indian street food🙏🏼

Some of the most flavourful, authentic food comes from places locals eat at daily🤤

How to choose street food safely in India:
• Go where it’s busy – high turnover = fresh food
• Watch it being cooked (hot + fresh is key)
• Avoid stalls with food sitting out untouched
• Follow locals, not Google Maps
• Trust your gut (literally and instinctively)

India has one of the richest food cultures I’ve ever experienced, and street food is a huge part of that story😍🇮🇳

You don’t need fancy restaurants to eat well here… sometimes the best meals come wrapped in paper on the side of the road 🇮🇳✨

Morning swims, salty hair, barefoot walks, and sunsets that make you forget what day it is 😍

Sri Lanka already feels like one of those places that quietly steals your heart… kind people, unreal nature, and a pace of life that reminds you to breathe a little deeper 🧘🏼‍♀️

I’m definitely surprised! 🤯

We’ve just arrived in Colombo and these are my honest first impressions of Sri Lanka after spending time travelling across India.

Sri Lanka is official known as the Tear Drop of India 💧

From landing to getting set up, everything felt surprisingly smooth…

We picked up local SIM cards in minutes and the city already feels calm, clean and easy to get around 💪🏼

This isn’t a comparison or judgement, just real observations from day one🙏🏼

I’m excited to explore more of Sri Lanka over the next few weeks and see how it feels as a travel destination✈️🇱🇰

GODS🗣️ OWN🗣️ COUNTRY🗣️

Alleppey (Alappuzha), Kerala completely shattered everything I thought I knew about India🤯

Quiet backwaters, slow mornings, palm trees, birdsong, and houseboats drifting by… not honking, chaos, or crowds in sight😍

If you think India is only busy cities and sensory overload, this is your reminder that the country is FULL of calm, nature-led escapes too🥹

Kerala feels soft, grounding, and unbelievably peaceful…

& Alleppey might just be one of the most relaxing places I’ve visited in Asia🧘🏼‍♀️

Save this for your Kerala itinerary 🌴🚤

Genuinely feels like a different country 🥰
