Celebrating Nature and Heroism: Karthigai Vasam Flower Exhibition by Tamil National Green Organisation

The roots of this celebration can be traced back to 2014 when the Northern Provincial Council, led by the visionary Agriculture Minister Ayngaranesan Ponnudurai, declared November as the official Tree Planting Month. Minister Ayangaranesan, an environmentalist, activist, and environmental writer, championed the cause of sustainable living and conservation. His passion led him to form the Tamil National Green Organisation, dedicated to the preservation of nature and fostering a greener future.
Continuing the legacy of tree planting initiatives, the organization annually orchestrates the Karthigai Vasam Flower Exhibition. This event serves as a platform for local plant producers to showcase their vibrant blooms, fostering a sense of community and environmental consciousness.
