Oshini Gunawardhana , This is the youngest female chess master in the world! 😍 Get ready, because on July 5th, she's heading to Batumi, Georgia, for the 2025 FIDE Women's World Cup, ready to take Sri Lanka's name to the world!

This young girl will be the youngest participant in the event.

So, let's all wish our little Oshini the best of luck as she elevates Sri Lanka's name on the global stage!

The prestigious Asian Junior and Girls Chess Championships 2025 have officially kicked off in beautiful Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka!

🗓️ Dates: June 27 - July 03, 2025
📍 Venue: Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka
✨ Categories: Open (Junior) and Girls

We're thrilled to host some of Asia's most talented young chess players battling it out for top honors. The competition is fierce, and the atmosphere is electric!

A huge thank you to the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka for organizing this fantastic event under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE.

Asian Junior/ Girls Chess Championships 2025

The Local Registration Starts!

This is the most prestigious Chess event for the Junior Chess Players in Asia. The Event will be held from 25th June to 3rd July at Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa.

This time, little more players can be accepted. So, 1st 75 players of the Junior Nationals Chess Championships held in Kandy, The players scored more than 5 points in National Premier Division ending on 22nd of June 2025, players played in last National Championships finals, Top 10 players of under 14, 16 and 18 Youth Round Robin and Top three players of the National Youth Under 8, 10 and 12 Round Robin are eligibl2 to participate. Others please do not Register please.

Payment for Local players needed is the 50% of total Registration and Entry Fee, 130 USD to be paid in Sri Lankan Rs. 39,000/= to following account.

Send the Bank slip and the Name, FIDE ID, Birthday and Contact details with a copy of Bank slip to [email protected] on or before 20th of June 2025. The players from National Premier Division may register on 23rd June 2025.

Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Kuwait and Indonesia has already confirmed their participation.
