Anthony’s, we continue to stand strong as Group ’93.❤️🩵💙 We are a group of past students of St. Anthony's College, Kandy, passed out in 1993. As small lads, we joined the College in 1980 and during the days at the primary department, to the upper school, '93 Antonians showed their talent in Sports, Studies as well as in Extra-Curricular activities. examination results, Group 93 created history of St. Anthony’s by producing the largest number of students entering the Universities from a batch. Out of around 120 students sat for the A/Ls, ten entered to the Engineering Faculty, six to the Medical College, and many more to various other fields in Universities here and abroad. On 5th August 1994, in the inaugural meeting held at the ‘O.B.A Club House’, we formed the 'Antonians Group 93'. The meeting was well attended with the participation of 82 members in which Ajaz Shafeek became the first elected President while Krishantha Jayawardena and Priyanka Weerasinghe were elected as the Secretary and the Treasurer, respectively. Patrons of the Group are Rev.Fr. Stephen Abraham and Mr. Senarath Weerasekara, who still remain as Patrons, along with the Rev.Fr.

Kingswood College held their nerve in a high scoring thriller to overcome D.S. Senanayake College 38-34 at Bogambara Stadium. Both teams played attacking rugby from start to finish, exchanging blows and keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the 70 minutes.

D.S. Senanayake fought bravely and refused to back down, but Kingswood's determination and finishing power proved decisive as they secured a memorable victory in front of their home crowd.

For almost 70 minutes, Isipathana College looked set for victory, leading the game through a determined and disciplined performance. But rugby can be cruel, and one costly mistake in the closing stages completely changed the complexion of the contest.

It was a high-intensity battle from start to finish, with both teams giving everything and refusing to back down. The momentum swung dramatically in the dying moments, producing a thrilling finish for the fans.

When the final whistle blew, it was Wesley College celebrating a remarkable comeback victory in one of the most exciting encounters of the season.

From the opening whistle to the final minute, this was an intense and entertaining contest between two evenly matched sides. Both teams constantly threatened each other's try line, playing attacking rugby at a relentless pace.

A few costly mistakes saw the momentum swing back and forth throughout the game, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. With neither side willing to give an inch, the battle went right down to the wire.

In the end, St. Peter's College held their nerve and came up trumps, securing a hard-fought 27-22 victory in a thrilling encounter.

Just when it seemed the momentum had shifted, Shan Altaf crossed over for a crucial try with only a minute remaining on the clock. Yet the drama wasn't over, as Zahira College responded once again in a breathtaking finish.

FINALLY !

Defending champions New Zealand Women kept their T20 World Cup hopes alive with a thrilling 4-run victory over Ireland Women in Match 13 at Southampton.

New Zealand posted 140/6, with Izzy Sharp (36) and Brooke Halliday (34) leading the way. Ireland fought back bravely through Gaby Lewis (58) and Orla Prendergast (59), but fell just short on 136/4 after a tense final over.

🏏 Sri Lanka 'A' has officially booked their place in the Tri-Nation A Series Final 🏏

Sri Lanka A vs Afghanistan A – Match Summary 🇱🇰

A dominant all-round performance saw Sri Lanka A cruise to a commanding 103-run victory over Afghanistan A in the Tri-Nation A Series at Dambulla.

Batting first, Sri Lanka A piled up 322/8 in 50 overs, setting a daunting target for the visitors. The Lankan batsmen laid a solid foundation before accelerating brilliantly in the latter stages of the innings.

In reply, Afghanistan A never really got going as Sri Lanka A's bowlers kept striking at regular intervals. Dulaj Samuditha starred with the ball, claiming a superb 5-wicket haul, as Afghanistan A were bundled out for 219 in 42.5 overs.

The comprehensive win sealed Sri Lanka A's place in the final and underlined their strength in both batting and bowling departments.
