ITA Airways leaves SkyTeam and joins the Lufthansa group. A great move in benefit for their customers. Congratulations ITA Airways.

Our journey together with ITA Airways begins.

Starting today, Miles & More members can earn and redeem miles on ITA Airways flights, and Volare members can earn and redeem points on flights with the Lufthansa Group network airlines. 🌍✈️

Coming summer 2025: codeshare flights on 100+ European routes as well as enhanced lounge access. Plus, ITA Airways will be joining Star Alliance and changing terminals in Frankfurt and Munich. Stay tuned.

An Airbus A320neo LATAM Airlines (CC-BHB) has been seriously damaged in Peru (Lima) after hitting a firefighter entering the runway during take-off.

Following the impact, the 2nd engine of the plane fell off the wing and the landing gear on the right side was destroyed.

Passengers were evacuated, no casualties.

The plane operated LATAM LA2213 flight on the Lima - Juliaca route.
