🦤 The Incredible Moa Bird: The Giant That Vanished Forever
Did you know New Zealand was once home to one of the largest birds the world has ever seen? 🌍 The Moa bird, a flightless giant, could grow up to 3.6 meters (12 feet) tall and weigh more than 250 kg (550 lbs). These incredible creatures ruled New Zealand’s forests and grasslands for thousands of years — until humans arrived.
🪶 What Made the Moa Special?
Unlike ostriches or emus, Moas had no wings at all — not even tiny ones.
They were herbivores, feeding on leaves, twigs, and fruits.
