☸️ මිහින්තලේ මිහිදු මහා සෑය | Mihintale Mihidu Maha Seya 🕊️
📜 මහ වංශය අනුව ක්‍රි.පූ. 267–257 දී රජ උත්තියගෙන් අරහත් මහින්ද හිමියන්ගේ ධාතු කොටසක් මෙහි නිදන් කර, පල්වූ චේතියයක් ලෙස ගොඩනැංවූ බව සඳහන් වේ. This stupa enshrines relics of Arhat Mahinda, brought to Sri Lanka in the 3rd century B.C.
🌄 පර්වත මුදුනේ පිහිටි සුදු බබලයේ සේ දිලුසුදු සෑය වන මෙය, උස 13.7 මී. (45 අඩි), ව්‍යසත 41.5 මී. (136 අඩි) පමණයි. සෑම දෙබස් වෙන්කි 1893 ට වියළෙත්, 1950–1965 කාලයේ දී ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කළේය. Behold its radiant dome, built in the 1st century and restored with Thai and Sri Lankan support.
🙏 ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ බුද්ධ ඓතිහාසික උරුමවලට අනුරාධපුරේ මිහින්තලෙන් එක්ලෙසින්ම අති ප්‍රසිද්ධ ස්ථානයක් – a sacred inheritance and marvel.
මහ වංශයට අනුව, ක්‍රි.පූ. 267–257 දී දේවානම්පියතිස්ස රජතුමාගේ සහෝදරයා වූ උත්තිය රජතුමා විසින් අරහත් මහින්ද හිමියන්ගේ ධාතු කොටසක් මෙම ස්ථානයේ නිදන් කොට මහ ආර්ක් චේතියය (Stupa) ගොඩනැගූ බව විශේෂ වේ  .
මෙය මිහිදු මහ සෑය නම් දුටුවේ, පර්වත මුදුනේ විශ්‍රාමීය චේතිය හි කැලැණි මීදුම් අතර කලාතුරකින් දිදුලන සුදු බබලයක් සමාන බවයි ().
• සමහර විශ්වාසයන්ට අනුව මෙහි බුදු සිරි සමාධාතූ වන ඌර්ණ රෝම ධාතුන් නිදන් කොට ඇත .
• ඉහළ ගොඩනැගූ චේතියය උස 45 අඩි (~13.7 මී.) සහ විෂ්කම්භය 136 අඩි (~41.5 මී.) පමණ වන අතර, ඉදිකරනු ලැබුවේ පළමු සියවසේ රජු මහදාතික මහානාගය විසිනි .
• 1893 වැනි වර්ෂයේදී තායිලන්ඩ් සමිඳුකෙක්ගේ සහයෝගීත්වයෙන් මෙය ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කරන ලද අතර 1950–1965 අතර පුරාවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මඟින් යළි නවීකරණ කරන ලදී .
☸️Mihintale Mihidu Maha Seya
According to the Mahawamsa, King Uttiya (c. 267–257 B.C.), brother of Devanampiyatissa, enshrined a portion of Arhat Mahinda Thera’s relics atop Mihintale by constructing this stupa .
This “Great Stupa” appears on the hilltop like a gleaming white dome amid a sea of mist—a breathtaking sight .
• It is believed to contain sacred bone relics of the Buddha or his disciples .
• The stupa stands approximately 45 ft (13.7 m) tall with a circumference of about 136 ft (41.5 m), originally built in the 1st century by King Mahadathika Mahanaga .
• It underwent renovations in 1893 with Thai royal support and was restored again by Sri Lanka’s Archaeology Department between 1950–1965 ().
