In May 1979 Sathara Publishers published their first educational magazine, "Sathara". It was targeted at students that are preparing for the O/L and A/L examinations. It carried educational material that helped students to expand their knowledge on different subjects. Sathara magazine is regarded as the first of its kind to be published in Sri Lanka.
Today the company publish 10 educational monthly magazines and 100+ educational books on different subjects. Also Sathara provides direct employment t0 100+ employees and indirect employment to 50+ teachers. Every year we carry out seminars and other educational workshops completely free of charge. Also as part of our social responsibility programme we provide books, clothing, shoes, stationery etc. to underprivileged students in rural areas of Sri Lanka annually.
