Happy Retirement, Mrs. M.C.Z. Risana Teacher!

Mrs. M.C.Z. Risana Teacher retired from the teaching service on 11 July 2026, after 37 years of dedicated service, including 12 years at Zahira National College, Matale.

A proud past pupil of Zahira College, she was the first Commerce student from the school to enter the University of Jaffna. Despite the challenges of the civil war, she successfully completed her (Hon's) degree and began her teaching career in 1989.

She served with dedication at Wariyapola Tamil Vidyalaya, Amina National College, and finally at Zahira College, where she inspired and guided many students who have gone on to become successful professionals and educators.

Mrs. Risana Teacher was known for her commitment to teaching, humility, discipline, strong faith, and sincere care for her students. She is a loving mother of four children and has always been a great support to her family.

We sincerely thank her for her invaluable service and wish her a retirement filled with good health, happiness, peace, and Allah’s abundant blessings!!!! ❤️

The Media Unit proudly highlights the successful Awareness Cycle Parade conducted to promote a drug-free society and a cleaner Sri Lanka.

Through this initiative, participants spread important messages on healthy living, environmental responsibility, and social awareness, encouraging the community to work together for a better future.
