For three years, we learned together, laughed together, and grew together as one family. As the 21/22 Batch of the Faculty of Technology prepares to embark on six months of industrial training, these portraits capture not just smiles, but stories, dreams and the bonds that will remain long after graduation.

21/22 Batch Inter-Department Cricket Tournament 🏏

The Faculty of Technology’s 21/22 Batch came together to organize a cricket tournament to mark the departure of their brothers and sisters as they head off for six months of industrial training. 🏏

It was a beautiful few hours filled with teamwork, joy, and shared memories, creating moments that will remain in everyone’s hearts for a long time.

Huge congratulations and best wishes to the Sri Lanka University Badminton Team as they prepare to compete at the Asian University Badminton Championship 2026, taking place from 10–15 June 2026 in Chinese Taipei.

A special congratulations to Bhanu​ka Abeysinghe on his appointment as the Captain of the National Men’s Team. This achievement reflects his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the sport, and we are proud to see him lead the team on this prestigious international stage.✨

ලොවට කරුණාව, මෛත්‍රිය සහ සැනසීමේ මඟ කියාදුන් තථාගත බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උතුම් තෙමඟුල සිහිපත් කරන වෙසක් පුන් පොහෝ දිනය අදයි. ✨

වෙසක් පොහොය බෞද්ධයන්ට වැදගත් වන්නේ ගෞතම බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උපත, බුද්ධත්වය සහ පිරිනිවීම යන තෙමඟුල සිදු වූ පින්බර දිනය වීමයි.

Today is the full moon day of Vesak, the most sacred religious festival of Buddhists. 🪷🙏

The three great events that occurred today, on the full moon day of Vesak,Gautama the Great Buddha,who showed the path to liberation to all beings, was born to King Suddhodana under the name Siddhartha, from the womb of the Queen Mahamaya, the attainment of enlightenment by Siddhartha Bodhisattva, who realized the Four Noble Truths and destroyed all defilements, and the Buddha's preaching the Dhamma to all beings for forty years and living for eighty years before attaining Parinibbana.🌕✨

Also, the third visit of the Buddha to Sri Lanka, the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the magnificent Ruwanweli Seya, and the end of the year's Siripa Karuna season are all taking place on the full moon day of Vesak today.

May Buddhists around the world have a blessed Vaisakhya festival!🪷
