දම් පාට අකුණක්? මේ ඇයි? මෙන්න හේතුව. 💜
අකුණු ඇතිවෙද්දී වායුව ඉතා උණුසුම් වෙලා නයිට්රජන් සහ ඔක්සිජන් අණු ionize වෙලා නිල්-දම් ආලෝකයක් නිකුත් කරනවා. ඒ ආලෝකය වලාකුළු, වැසි බිංදු, තෙතමනය සහ දූවිලි අතරින් පැතිරෙනකොට ආලෝකය විහිදීම (scattering) සහ මිශ්රවීම සිදුවෙනවා. විශේෂයෙන් තෙතමනය වැඩි කුණාටු වලදී මේ බලපෑම තවත් වැඩි වෙනවා. ඒ නිසා අකුණු සහ මුළු අහසම දම් (purple) පාටින් පේන්න පුළුවන්. මේ කාලයේ ගොඩක් වෙලාවට මේ පාට අකුණු පේන්න පුලුවන් අවස්ථාව වැඩියි. මේ Photo එකත් වැස්ස වැඩි වෙලාවක ගත්තෙ. Photo එක හරියට බැලුවොත් Lens එකට වැදුන වතුර බිංදු පෙනෙයි. 📸
Purple lightning? Here’s the reason 💜
When lightning occurs, the air becomes extremely hot and the nitrogen and oxygen molecules become ionized, producing a blue-violet light. As this light passes through clouds, raindrops, humidity, and dust, scattering and mixing of light occur. This effect becomes even stronger during storms with high moisture levels. Because of this, both the lightning and sometimes the entire sky can appear purple.
During this period, you are more likely to see this purple lightning effect. This photo was also taken during heavy rain. If you look closely, you can see water droplets on the lens. 📸
