කාලගුණවිද්යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් රතු නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කර ඇත. මෙම නිවේදනය අනුව, බෙංගල බොක්ක මුහුදු ප්රදේශවල අධික සුළං සහ රළුවීමක් ඇතිවීමේ අවදානමක් පවතින බව සඳහන් වේ. වයඹ සහ ඊට යාබද මුහුදු ප්රදේශවල අධික සුළං සහ තද වැසි ඇතිවිය හැකි අතර, මුහුදු ප්රදේශ ඉතා රළු විය හැකි බවයි. නාවික සහ ධීවර ප්රජාවන්ට මෙම ප්රදේශවල සත්ව විමර්ශනයන්ට යාත්රා නොකිරීම සඳහා දැනුම් දී තිබේ.
The Department of Meteorology has issued a red warning due to expected severe weather conditions. The warning covers the Bay of Bengal region, where deep low-pressure systems are likely to cause very strong winds and rough seas. Fishermen and maritime communities are advised to exercise caution and avoid travel in affected areas.
The low-pressure system, currently situated near 18.9°N latitude and 86.3°E longitude, is expected to move towards the north and make landfall near Odisha, India by September 9, 0600 UTC. Areas between latitudes 13°N to 20°N and longitudes 83°E to 95°E may experience winds of 70-75 km/h and heavy rainfall, making sea conditions extremely hazardous.
