Jay Princce and MarKia called our cohort member, Arshad Najudeen, to film the music video for “Back To Back”. Alongside Dre Alexandria Mapps-Whitmore, Arshad skillfully captured the essence of the song and the vibrant energy of Venice Beach, making “Back To Back” a standout track from the album “The Uprising”.

"Memories," a track from the album The Uprising, features Jay Princce with MarKia, alongside Aesop Sav, T. Chandy, and P.T.. The video was shot by a talented team including Rakitha Perera, Quentin Lavon, Tanitoluwa Olorunyomi, and our very own cohort member Arshad Najudeen.
Jay Princce together with Dir. Arshad Najudeen envisioned a composed and understated treatment for the music video of “Slide”, opting for a monotone grayscale aesthetic. This choice beautifully captured the song’s simplicity and depth.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, it emerged that children across Sri Lanka were facing immense hardships. Lockdowns trapped them in unsafe spaces, leading to heightened mental stress, domestic violence, and limited access to education. Girls, especially, endured greater challenges with increased responsibilities and risks of abuse.

It was then that ChildFund Sri Lanka partnered with The Creative Congress to showcase key findings on how grave this situation has been. Through a uniquely curated report design, TCC captured personal experiences of hundreds of children to transform these raw data into a compelling narrative.

Our work highlighted stories of resilience and courage, showing how youth leaders rose to become advocates for their communities. This report also blended actionable insights, urging stakeholders to act and create a safer, more equitable future for every child.

Many Sri Lankan youth grow up in environments that do not support emotional well-being, often leading to life-altering consequences. A shocking case of a youth committing a double murder of his parents made national headlines, sparking conversations on the need for emotional regulation.

Positive Minds Club was born out of this urgency to provide young people with the tools to navigate emotions, build resilience, and become leaders.

Through mentorship, structured activities, and real-world applications, this initiative is transforming lives. We documented these journeys, revealing stories of self-growth, leadership, and the power of emotional intelligence in breaking cycles of distress.

How do we equip youth to handle challenges before they escalate? This is where change begins. Let’s build a future where young minds are supported, not overlooked.
