කුමට දුන්නේ මා හට ඒ පෙම්බර හාදුව..

වෙරළ කොනක ගත කළ එක් දවසක
අහස බලන් මිමිණූ හැඟුමන් දස දහසක
මගේ අතින් අල්ලා ගිය ඒ අඩි කීපය
දැනුණේ මට මහ ගව් ගානක් වූ විලසට

නළලත සිපගත් ඒ උණුසුම හාදුව
පළමු වුවත් අවසන් හාදුව වන වග
නොම දැන උන්නේ ඒ පෙරනිමිත්ත
මල් වරුසාවක් වැටුණා අප නොදැනිම

ඒ ක්ෂණයෙන් දියවූ මගෙ හදවත
පියමැන්නා ආලයේ ගැඹුරුම තැනකට
දුරස් වුවත් එතෙකින් ඔබ මා හැර
තව පෙම් බඳිනෙමි සැමදින ඔබ හට

නමුත් මෙමට දුන් ඒ සුළු ආලය
මහමෙරක් නොවෙද මියෙනා තෙක් මට
නමුත් ආලයක් නොවීනම්,
"කුමට දුන්නේ මා හට ඒ පෙම්බර හාදුව?"

ඉදින් ඔබ ඈ සමගින් තුටින් හිඳින්න
රැළි වලට පුරුදුයි නේ ගොඩට ගොඩ වෙලා යන්න
මමත් ඉගෙන ගන්නම් ඒ වගේම
මගේ වෙරළට ආ ආදරේට ස්තූතියි කියන්න

හිරුගේ පහස අරගෙන ලොව සිතැඟි සනසමින්
මහී තලය ප්‍රේමනීය සිසිලෙන් පුරවමින්
පිරී මැකී යළි පුරවයි සඳ රහස් මුමුණමින්

වලා පටල මත අරුමැති සෙනෙහෙ රඳවමින්
නොවැටී යළි නැගිටින මිනිසුන්ට අතදෙමින්
ඈත ඉඳන් පාලුව වෙත එළියක් හෙළමින්
නිහඬ ලොවේ තනි රකිනා හිත් එක් කරමින්

පොර බදින සිතුවිලි හමුවේ
සිතුනි නුඹ සොඳුරු පෙම්වතෙකු ලෙසිනේ
සීරුනත් සිත නුඹේ වදනින්
එක වතාවක් ඇවිද යනු මැන
නැතද ඔය හද රිදුම් දෙන්නේ

ගෙවූ වසරක නුඹේ ප්‍රේමය
මතක ගොන්නට මතකයක්ම විය
වුවත් නුඹේ ආලේ අහඹුවක්මය
එක් වතාවක් ඇවිද යනු මැන
නැතද ඔය හද සුසුම් දෙන්නේ

අන් අවසරෙන් පෙති නිද්‍රාවට යන නමුදු
නැහැ පරවුනේ එක සැණිකින් මල කිසිදු
හැඩ නැති උනත් ඒ මල වාගේම කුමුදු
වැටුනා කදුලක් ඒ මලටත් සුමුදු

රොන් ගන්න විට බිගුගෙන් ලද පහස
සාක්කියට විතරයි සිටියේ නිල් අහස
ඒ පැණි බිගුන් කියලා යන රහස
සිත දැඩි වගෙ තරමින් දස දහස

පෙති හැකිලුනේ නිසා නෙව බිය අන් පහසින්
රැකුම සුවයි දාහින් වඩා යාමට ගැටෙමින්
මල දැඩි වුනා හිත හයියට ගෙන නිතැතින්
මල හැකිලුනොත් හෙට දවසක් නැත ගසකින්
