Chairman of The Church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye delivered a powerful message on the weight of spoken words during a recent sermon, cautioning believers that "your own mouth can condemn you; your lips will testify against you."

Key Teachings from Apostle Nyamekye's Message:

1. The Power of Words:
"People won’t hate you for what you wear. They’ll hate you for what you say."
Even truth spoken carelessly can cause harm if delivered at the wrong time or place.

2. Wisdom in Communication:

Believers must ask: "What do I want to say? When should I say it? Where should I say it? And how?

Timing and audience matter—truth spoken out of season can be as damaging as a lie.

3. Self-Control in Speech:
Words have consequences, and reckless speech can lead to unnecessary conflict or self-condemnation.

"Consider who is present before you speak.

Why This Matters:
In an era of social media and instant reactions, Apostle Nyamekye’s message serves as a timely reminder for believers—and all people—to exercise wisdom, restraint, and discernment in speech.

The sermon has sparked widespread reflection, with many sharing excerpts online, urging others to "speak life, not strife."

Abeka, July 7, 2025 – Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches (GPCC), has called on Christians to align their daily lives with their identity as people "redeemed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ."

Speaking during a communion service at the Abeka Central Assembly on Sunday, July 6, 2025, Apostle Nyamekye underscored the importance of holiness in personal devotion, business ethics, and all aspects of life. He emphasized that believers, as members of "God’s household," must uphold conduct that reflects their sacred calling.

Drawing from 1 Timothy 3:14–15, the Apostle reminded the congregation that their actions should serve as a testimony to non-believers. "We should conduct ourselves so that outsiders will want to join the family of God," he stated.

The service was attended by key church leaders, including Mrs. Mary Nyamekye (wife of the Chairman), Apostle Samuel Osei Asante (Executive Council Member and Kaneshie Area Head) and his wife, Elizabeth, as well as Pastor Paul Danso (Abeka District Minister) and the entire district congregation.

Apostle Nyamekye’s message reinforced the Church’s Rules of Conduct, urging members to live in a manner worthy of their redemption through Christ. His exhortation resonated as a timely call for integrity and godliness in both private and public spheres.

In a powerful sermon delivered at the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Temple in Accra, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, urged Christians to embrace the message of new life found in Christ Jesus. He emphasized that true life is not measured by material wealth or worldly possessions, but by having a personal relationship with Jesus.

Apostle Nyamekye highlighted the importance of encountering the transformative power of Jesus Christ, stating that many individuals are still living in their old lives because they have not experienced this life-changing encounter.

"Life is not about success or worldly achievements," Apostle Nyamekye emphasized. "Without Christ, you do not truly have life. The true life is the life of God residing in man."

His call to action urges Christians to rise up and boldly proclaim the message of new life in Jesus Christ to a world that is desperate for transformation.
