In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Beneficent.
An emergency executive meeting was convened yesterday, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 under the leadership of the International Chairman, Mr. Foday M. Sesay, to deliberate on the forward march of the Kormende Progressive Union (KPU). The meeting focused on two major issues: the organization of the post-prayer conference stakeholders’ meeting and the formation of the KPU Constitution Review Committee.
The meeting was opened with invocation, followed by welcome remarks.
Discussing the first agenda item, the 2025 prayer conference host country Chairman, Mr. Mohammed Keifala Lahun assured the executive body that preparations were complete for the upcoming stakeholders’ meeting. He confirmed that his executive was ready to present the comprehensive financial and activity reports of the recently concluded 2025 Prayer Conference in Kpandebu. This stakeholders’ meeting is scheduled to take place between April 3 and 5, with the main session set for Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Kpandebu, Republic of Sierra Leone.
On the matter of the Constitution Review Committee, the executive members engaged in extensive deliberations. It was agreed that each chapter of KPU would nominate representatives, after which the International Chairman would make the final appointments. The official endorsement of the committee will take place during the stakeholders’ meeting in Kpandebu on April 4, 2026. The committee will be provided with clear terms of reference and a timeline to guide its work.
