Though many see some of his disciplinary actions as being harsh and not conforming to the present, others have acknowledged and thanked him for his incredible efforts and straightforwardness ensuring that students conduct themselves in the best way possible.

WHEN A TEACHER DOES MORE THAN TEACH – MUSA M. KROMAH SETS A RARE EXAMPLE IN LIBERIA

In a time when motivation is scarce and encouragement even rarer, young Liberian Teacher Musa M. Kromah did something small—but truly extraordinary.

As the school year closed, Musa went beyond the usual routine. “I had the honor of presenting certificates to recognize the outstanding efforts of some of my students who demonstrated punctuality, dedication, and most importantly focus,” he shared.

He didn’t do it for applause—he did it because “teachers should encourage students, teach with compassion, empathy, and love.”

And the result? “The excitement on their faces was beyond words.”

In a country like Liberia where stories like this are often untold are barely seen and heard about, Musa reminds us that real change begins in the classroom—with love, intention, and a simple gesture that says “I see you.” Thank you, Musa. We see you. We celebrate you for this remarkable moment and we hope other Teachers see and follow because this is something that inspires and motivates these students to even do more.

SHE SLAPPED AND LOST EVERYTHING… HE SLICED AND GOT SYMPATHY: LIBERIA, LET’S TALK

At the end of March 2025, Kindness Wilson’s slap made national headlines and quickly turned her world upside down. She was stripped of her titles, bullied online, and publicly shamed. But when Gary, a male public figure recently sliced his friend in a violent altercation at a local night club, society’s reaction was shockingly different as he was met with public sympathy, open forgiveness, and even celebrated reconciliation.

Let that sink in.

In the words of Leelai M. Kpukuyou, who chose to stand by Kindness when it wasn’t popular:

“Why do we as a society tend to extend grace so freely to some and hold others at a different, harsher standard?
Could it be cuz the two young people are men, and Kindness is a woman?”

In light of the prevailing circumstance and honest reflection, Kindness herself shared:

“Some actions cause pain, others cause headlines. Some get forgiven, others get framed… Misjudgment? That one’s always loud. And that’s okay.”
“I’ve made peace with the parts of my story that others tried to rewrite.”

Dosers, this isn’t just about one slap or one stabbing. It is about the kind of society we’re becoming. One where public outrage is selective and grace is reserved for the familiar or the favored.

To everyone standing tall in the storm, we see you. Let this be a call to reflect, unlearn, and do better. Until we confront these truths, we are not being honest about the society we’re building.

LIBERIA’S PRINTISS DOMAH SELECTED FOR 2025 KOFI ANNAN CHANGEMAKERS

A proud moment for Liberia as young Leader Printiss Domah recently announced his selection as one of the Kofi Annan Changemakers 2025, marking the first time Liberia will be represented at this prestigious global platform.

In his words:

“Excited and honored to be selected as a Kofi Annan Changemakers 2025! Let’s make a difference in the world together.”

“This, I considered a win and inspiration for every young person in Liberia— as it is the first of it kind that our country will be represented at the KACM25.”

He extended heartfelt appreciation to NIMD Liberia and NAYMOTE-Liberia for the nomination and technical guidance, and to the Unity Party National Youth Congress for their moral support during the vetting process.

This is a win for Liberia. A win for youth leadership. And we are proud to celebrate Printiss.

MEET 14-YEAR-OLD CHANGEMAKER ROCHELLE WHO IS ON A MISSION TO PROTECT LIBERIAN CHILDREN 🇱🇷

Meet Rochelle Amour Sendolo, a 14-year-old student from Heritage International Leadership Academy (HILA) who just got promoted to the 10th grade — and is already making a national impact.

Last week, Rochelle walked the halls of the Capitol Building where the legislature and/or parliament sits in Liberia, not just as a citizen, but as an Advocate — meeting with senators to push for Martu’s Law, her very own initiative to protect children and hold abusers accountable.

With the support of leaders like Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Sen. Darius Dillon, Sen. Momo Cyrus, and Sen. Edwin Snowe Jr., Martu’s Law is gaining real momentum. The law calls for a National ID database to alert parents, schools, and communities when a known perpetrator is nearby.

This is such a worthy campaign and we are proud of Rochelle. Seeing such an incredible movement led by a brave teen determined to end gender-based violence in Liberia is amazing. Go girl!

Let’s rally behind her!

Rochelle isn’t done yet — she’s on a mission to reach more stakeholders and protect every child.

THE “DR.” DEBATE: HONOR OR DECEPTION? TWO INTELLECTUALS SPLIT OVER YORGBOR’S HONORARY DOCTORATE

The name Dr. Mulbah K. Yorgbor Jr. is trending —not for scandal or politics, but for title. What began as a celebratory post recognizing his Honorary Doctorate Degree from the London Bridge Business School–UK has spiraled into a fiery intellectual debate.

On one end, Activist Martin K. N. Kollie, in a scathing open letter from The Hague, condemns Yorgbor’s use of “Dr.” and describes it as fraudulent and deceptive:

“You came running back to Liberia as ‘Dr.’ Mulbah K. Yorgbor even though you left as ‘Mr.’… This is wrong, deceiving, fraudulent, and unfair to Liberians who are working very hard to earn legitimate doctoral credentials.”

He continues, calling for a nationwide ban on the use of honorary degrees in official capacities.

But not everyone agrees.

In a sharp counter-response, Liberian Scholar B. Garmondyu Zogar rises to the debate with an opposing opinion —flipping the script on what society should value:

“When a university awards an honorary PhD, it’s not just handing out a piece of paper. It is recognizing the honoree’s years of real-life hustle, commitment, leadership, impact, and relevance…”

Zogar argues that even though degrees are very important, Liberians' obsession with degrees often overshadows the very real accomplishments of individuals who build, serve, and lead outside of academia:

“Many folks with ‘earned’ degrees haven’t contributed half as much to society as some who’ve spent their lives actually doing the work.”

The question before us is no longer just about earned vs. honorary. It’s about value vs. validation, experience vs. expectation, and formality vs. impact.

1. Should honorary titles be used in public service?
2. Should Liberia audit or embrace the honorary route for recognizing societal contributions?
3. And ultimately—does impact earn you the right to be called “Dr.”?

As Zogar puts it:

“The honor is not just in the title. It’s in the journey.”

Let the nation reflect. Let the thinkers speak. Let the facts shape our standards. Share your thoughts with us Dosers.

Despite the numerous criticisms from many followers of our industry and most disappointingly a Cameroonian lady who few months or weeks ago trolled the outfits of several Liberians who attended last year's edition of the MTN Music Awards, it seems like this year is gonna be quite unforgettable. But until the MTN Music Awards, we are blown away by this simple yet culturally endowed and beautiful outfit from the Liberian Actress Ide Bowman.

In our opinion, she literally won best dressed at “The Liberia Film Awards” last night. Beautiful and outstanding. We celebrate her.

Rate her outfit from 1-10 Dosers.

OKC THUNDER ARE THE 2025 NBA CHAMPIONS AFTER 103-91 VICTORY

Last night, in the final of the widely followed NBA league in the United States of America, Oklahoma City Thunder emerged as the WINNERS of the 2025 championship after a hard-fought 103-91 victory over the Indiana Pacers in what many Basketball pundits and lovers described as the do-or-die Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Congratulations to the OKC Thunders and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who turned in 29 points, 12 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. The OKC Thunder clinched their second title in franchise history after winning in 1979 when they were still the Seattle SuperSonics according to Rappler.
