Ministry of Education Joins Partners to Launch 2025 Japan Supplementary Budget Projects
Monrovia, Liberia | April 27, 2026

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Government of Japan and United Nations partners, has launched the 2025 Japan Supplementary Budget Projects, reinforcing a coordinated approach to advancing education and social services in Liberia.

Aligned with Pillar 6 of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, the initiatives integrate education, health, gender, protection, and WASH, reflecting how these challenges are experienced at the level of the child and the community.

Delivering keynote remarks, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah emphasized that learning outcomes are shaped by more than instruction. Attendance, wellbeing, safety, and basic conditions must be addressed together to enable schools to function effectively.

She highlighted the Ministry’s focus on strengthening monitoring and accountability systems, including digital supervision supported by georeferenced data, to improve how gaps in schools are identified and addressed.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to aligning these efforts with national systems, strengthening institutional capacity, and delivering sustained impact.

Partners, including UNICEF, UNFPA, and UN Women, reiterated their support for coordinated implementation that advances inclusive education, gender equality, and community resilience.

TERMINATED AA ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATION WITHIN 24 HOURS

Monrovia, Liberia – April 28,2026

The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) confirms the arrest of Mr. Musa Kamara, a former Action Agent, on April 22, 2026—just one day after his termination.

Kamara was apprehended for impersonating as an LDEA officer following his dismissal alongside Icarus Geeplay on April 21, 2026, after an internal investigation established serious violations of the Agency’s code of conduct, leading to their immediate removal and disqualification from the ongoing vetting process.

He has since been sent to court. His actions constitute clear violations of Liberian law, and he will face prosecution.

The LDEA remains firm, uncompromising, and unbending against misconduct and any act that undermines its integrity.

Big boost for Liberia as the LAA hits category 9!

The Acting Managing Director of the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), John Buway, has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to improving aviation safety and meeting international standards, as he commissioned one heavy-duty fire truck, two tractors, and an ambulance at Roberts International Airport.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Buway described the occasion as a pivotal moment in strengthening Liberia’s aviation sector.

He acknowledged that in the past, several international airlines were reluctant to include Liberia as a destination due to infrastructural limitations.

However, he emphasized that the country is making steady progress toward achieving global aviation standards that will attract more international carriers.

Buway disclosed that with the acquisition of the state-of-the-art fire engine, the LAA has initiated discussions with the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority to upgrade the airport’s safety category to at least Category 9.

He noted that this critical equipment significantly enhances emergency response capabilities and ensures compliance with international aviation safety requirements at Roberts International Airport.

In addition, the LAA has begun procuring two heavy-duty tractors to support ground maintenance operations.

One of the tractors has already been delivered, while the second is expected within seven days.

According to Mr. Buway, the tractors will play a vital role in vegetation control, ensuring clear visibility, preventing wildlife hazards, and maintaining a safe operational environment at the airport.

He further revealed that the Authority has procured a new Toyota high-top ambulance equipped with modern medical components that meet international standards.

The ambulance is expected to be delivered within ten days.

Mr. Buway emphasized that these developments, achieved under the leadership of the current LAA Management Team and Board of Directors, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, security, and efficient service delivery.

He described the commissioning of the fire engine and ground maintenance equipment as a significant investment in safeguarding lives and ensuring the smooth operation of Liberia’s primary air gateway.

He added that the new equipment will not only enhance emergency response but also improve ground operations, enabling the airport to better serve passengers and the wider community.

On behalf of the LAA Management Team, Mr. Buway extended gratitude to Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr., the Government of Liberia, and international partners for their continued support in strengthening the country’s aviation infrastructure.

He concluded by noting that the milestone reflects the government’s strong commitment to improving aviation services and ensuring safer, more reliable air travel for all.

As unbelievable as it may seem, Sweden has declared s*x an official sport, and has even launched the first competition evaluated by a panel of judges.

The couple’s chemistry, their understanding of s*x, their level of endurance, and other vital characteristics will be taken into account when deciding who comes out the winner of a s*x tournament that will have its own audience.

The Swedish S*x Federation had been trying for some time to establish this new sport, so they were very pleased with the achievement and welcomed this championship:

🗣 “Like any sport, getting the results you want in s*x requires training.”
