I respect Magistrate-Designate Gbeisay’s decision to prioritize his education, for education remains the bedrock of national progress and judicial integrity.

True service to Liberia comes in many forms—sometimes it is through the bench, and sometimes through the pursuit of greater knowledge that will serve the nation tomorrow.

Mr. Gbeisay’s choice reflects integrity, humility, and foresight—qualities we hope to see in every public servant.

As President, I commend his wisdom to step aside honorably in order to strengthen his capacity to contribute to Liberia’s future.

Our Judiciary is undergoing reform, and it is refreshing to see individuals making sacrifices that strengthen public confidence in our institutions.

Each new month is a fresh page in our national story; together, let us write October with progress, peace, and prosperity.

On this first day of October, let us remember that building Liberia is not the task of one leader, but the responsibility of every citizen.

As October dawns, I encourage all Liberians to think big, act boldly, and believe that our country can rise to greatness.

October 1st reminds us that time waits for no nation. Let us use this month wisely to advance reconciliation, growth, and national healing.

With each passing day, we have an opportunity to transform challenges into stepping stones. May October be our month of progress.

Returning home with a renewed commitment to progress and unity—our journey continues as we work together to build a better Liberia.

From the UN to the Diaspora Conference, it’s clear: Liberia is ready to lead, and our people are our greatest asset.

After engaging with the global community and listening to our diaspora, I return home more committed than ever to advancing Liberia’s development.

My travels have strengthened Liberia’s relationships abroad, but the real work begins here at home with all Liberians, wherever they may be.

Thank you to the diaspora and all who engaged with us. Our work is just beginning, and together we will write Liberia’s future.

The conversations held and the partnerships built will now translate into tangible benefits for Liberians, wherever they call home.

I return home with renewed confidence that Liberia’s voice is being heard on the global stage, and that our future is brighter when we work hand in hand with the world and our diaspora.

From the halls of the United Nations to the Liberia Diaspora Conference, the message was clear: Liberia is ready to lead, to partner, and to prosper.

Everywhere I went, I carried the hopes and aspirations of the Liberian people. Now, I return with stronger partnerships, greater opportunities, and a firm resolve to deliver.

Our engagements abroad reaffirmed that Liberia is not alone. We have friends, partners, and most importantly, a global diaspora committed to building our nation.

The true measure of these international engagements will be seen in how they improve the daily lives of Liberians—through better governance, stronger institutions, and inclusive development.

We went abroad to speak for Liberia, but we return to work for Liberia. Our people remain at the center of every dialogue, every agreement, and every partnership.

This journey is a reminder that Liberia’s future is not written abroad—it is written here at home, with the contributions of our citizens, supported by our global friends.

This conference is not just a gathering—it is a historic bridge to unite Liberians worldwide and invite them to take active ownership of their country’s future.

As we stand at the crossroads of national renewal, let us remember that Liberia’s future can only be built together—by every citizen, both at home and abroad.

The time for dialogue is over. It’s time for action. The promises we make today must be the foundation of a prosperous tomorrow.

For too long, we’ve prioritized building the state over building the nation. Today, we begin a new chapter—one where every Liberian, regardless of where they live, plays an active role in our shared progress.

As a nation, we’ve inherited deep challenges, but I am confident that, through collective resolve, we can overcome them and create a Liberia that reflects the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity for all.

We must work to transform not just our economy but the very foundation of our society. Inclusive growth, social reconciliation, and governance reform must lead our efforts.

To the Diaspora—your remittances have kept families fed and children educated. But now, we need you to do more: teach us to fish, so we can sustainably feed ourselves.

Liberia will only reach its potential when we combine our global partnerships with national unity. Together, we will rebrand Liberia, restore its glory, and build a prosperous future.

The path to true national healing requires more than infrastructure—it demands reconciliation, justice, and a commitment to leaving no one behind.

We must strengthen our partnerships with countries like the United States, but let us also show that we are worthy of those partnerships through good governance, anti-corruption efforts, and commitment to our people.

The strength of Liberia is not confined within our borders—it extends to every Liberian abroad who carries our flag in their heart.

This conference is not just a meeting; it is a historic bridge connecting Liberians at home and abroad for one common purpose—building a stronger nation.

The diaspora represents untapped energy, knowledge, and resources. Harnessing this potential is key to driving Liberia’s transformation.

As President, I see every Liberian in the diaspora not as distant citizens, but as integral partners in shaping our country’s destiny.

Today we turn commitment into action, by creating a platform where every Liberian voice—home or abroad—can contribute to the national conversation.

The bonds of heritage and patriotism unite us across oceans. Together, we can write a new chapter of progress, prosperity, and peace for Liberia.

Our election to the UN Security Council underscores that Liberia’s voice matters globally. With the diaspora as a partner, our voice will be even stronger.
