Margibi District #2 Lawmaker Dedicates LD$9.7 Million Footpath Bridge in Lower Margibi
Lower Margibi County — The lawmaker representing Margibi County District #2, Hon. Ivar K. Jones, has officially dedicated a newly constructed footpath bridge valued at LD$9,755,200, aimed at enhancing safe and reliable movement for residents of Lower Margibi County.
The bridge connects Dolo Town and the MBI Community, two neighboring communities that have endured persistent transportation challenges, particularly during the rainy season. For years, residents relied on unsafe means to cross the area, posing risks to schoolchildren, traders, farmers, and commuters.
The new structure now provides a safe and dependable passage, significantly easing daily movement between the two communities.
Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Hon. Jones described the project as part of his ongoing commitment to people-centered development and the resolution of long-standing infrastructure deficits in District #2.
He emphasized that the bridge will stimulate economic activities, strengthen social ties, and improve access to essential services for residents.
The Dolo Town–MBI Community footpath bridge stands as another tangible demonstration of Hon. Ivar K. Jones’ efforts to deliver sustainable and impactful development across Lower Margibi County.
