Information reaching us says Edwin Yakpawolu murdered his girlfriend last night in the Soul Clinic community 😢.

Edwin and his girlfriend had an argument around 4 AM this morning in the presence of their 14 years old son, Edwin knocked her head with a stick and locked the kid in the bathroom, and left the house .

The little boy started crying 😢 by 6AM before the community dwellers broke into the house and sae his wife lying bleeding.

The lady was pronounced dead upon arrival to a local clinic.

Currently, the body is at Alfred B Funeral home in Mount.Barclay.

People are afraid to invite the police or publish him because he's one of the biggest drug dealers in the country.
It’s confirmed.

MALAWI – Malawi’s Vice-President, Saulos Chilima, was among 10 people killed when a small military plane crashed in a mountainous region in the north of the country, the president said in a live televised address on Tuesday.

Air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane on Monday after telling the pilot to turn back to the capital, Lilongwe, due to bad weather.

President Lazarus Chakwera has declared a national day of mourning in remembrance of the victims.

Nimba County Country Devils go disgruntle at Arcelor Mittal Operational site; prevent access to all three mining areas as they set up makeshift roadblocks

Traditional Bush Masters also known as Country Devils have intensified protest actions against Arcelor Mittal in Nimba County thereby preventing the company from accessing all of its three mining areas.

On Monday May 6, 2024 angry citizens of the region put out country devils and placed makeshift roadblocks at the entrances of the mines and Blei-Detton in Nimba County.

The protest action is affecting all three mining sites including Tokaded, Gangra and Yuelliton.

In an internal memo leaked to Ok FM, the company accused one Bioma Morgan of mobilizing community residents, paying them US$50 each to disrupt AML operations.

Citizens of Nimba County have always protested against the company’s operations; accusing the company of not doing much for the affected communities.

The Head of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Dale Gboto disclosed over 50, 410 candidates registered and their WASSEC fees paid by the Government of Liberia.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information regular Press Briefing on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Mr. Gboto highlighted on progress made by his Institution to write the National exams.

He said the government of Liberia through the President, His Excellency Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr, paid the WASSEC fees for over 50, 410 students to ensure that they write their exams.

Mr. Dale Gboto at the same time informed Liberians that the West African regional exams Liberia chapter will commence on the 15th of May and ends on the 4th of June 2024.

He furthered stated Liberian Candidates will write 9 subjects which includes 20 papers throughout the exams.

Acting Commissioners of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority urged Liberians to report fraudulent acts of individuals using Lonestar Cell MTN demonstrated over the period, says the entity is in full swing to execute plans of the President arrest agenda to train 10, 000 ICT students.

Appearing at the Ministry of Information regular Press Briefing on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Acting Commissioner Patrick Honnah disclosed that the LTA has informed the Lonestar Cell MTN to report activities about fraudulence to the LTA.

Acting Commissioner Honnah said the precautions comes as a result of a complaint filed by the Commerce Minister Hon. Amin Modad and other Liberians.

For his part, Mr. Abdullah Kamara, the Acting Chairman of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), provide updates on the President arrest agenda of training 10,000 students in ICT studies.

He said the training of the ICT students falls in a digital programs, where students can use on the social media to apply apply with, says his team is collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to ensure such mandate.
