LWSC Intensifies South-East Water Expansion Efforts

Greenville, Sinoe County — Hon. T Wilson Gaye, Deputy Managing Director for Administration of the Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation (LWSC), has reaffirmed the corporation's commitment to expanding access to safe pipe-borne water across Liberia's South-Eastern region.

Leading a high-level LWSC delegation, Hon. Gaye recently concluded a productive engagement with residents occupying LWSC-owned properties in Greenville, Sinoe County. The meeting resulted in an amicable resolution of longstanding concerns, clearing the path for the uninterrupted implementation of the Greenville Water Supply Expansion Project.

Speaking following the engagement, Hon. Gaye praised local stakeholders for their cooperation and support toward advancing the government's water accessibility agenda.

“Our discussions with community residents were constructive and successful. We have reached a mutual understanding that will allow the project to move forward smoothly for the benefit of the people of Greenville and surrounding communities.”

He extended appreciation to the City Authorities of Greenville and District #1 Representative Hon. Thomas Romeo Quiah for their support and commitment to community development. Hon. Gaye also acknowledged the leadership of LWSC Managing Director Mo Ali, Internal Audit Director Gurmue Suah, and Procurement Officer Jartu Quaye for their contributions to the mission.

The ongoing South-East mobilization initiative forms part of LWSC's broader strategy to expand reliable pipe-borne water services to counties including Grand Gedeh, Maryland, River Gee, River Cess, Sinoe, and other underserved communities.

Following the successful Greenville engagement, Hon. Gaye and his delegation proceeded to Pleebo and Harper to continue corporate and project implementation activities aimed at improving water access and service delivery across the region.
