HON. JERRY K. YOGBOH MAKES OVER L$60,000.00 WORTH OF DONATIONS IN DISTRICT #12

On May 15, 2025, Hon. Jerry K. Yogboh demonstrated his usual acts of compassion and responsiveness to the needs of some constiuents in District #12. In furtherance of making timely interventions to improve the livelihood of the district's citizens, Hon. Yogboh donated two bundles of zinc to two young stakeholders of Shoes Factory Community. Mr. Owen Limas Teah and Mr. Aaron Harris, who did not support Hon. Yogboh in the 2023 elections received one bundle of 32-gauge zinc each to rehabilitate the roofs of their business centers ahead of the rainy season.

Upon receiving the donations, both Mr. Teah and Mr. Harris, in separate remarks, expressed thanks and appreciation to Hon. Yogboh for the interventions and promised to support his leadership and workings in the district. They praised Hon. Yogboh for identifying with them, though they didn't support him during the 2023 Representative elections for the district.

Moreover, Hon. Yogboh also donated one 250w breaker to the people of Wawanie, between Stephen Tolbert Estate and Chicken Soup Factory communities. This will stabilise the provision of electricity to the citizens in the community.

These interventions, with the cost of over L$60,000.00, highlight Hon. Yogboh’s continued dedication to community empowerment and his ongoing efforts to support residents during times of needs. The lawmaker remains committed to making interventions in meeting the challenges confronting the district's citizens.

Speaker Richard Koon Constitutes initial Committees Upon Assuming Office

Upon officially assuming the helm of authority of the House of Representatives, Speaker Richard Koon has begun the process of structuring the House by constituting several key committees.

In this regard, Speaker Koon has appointed the following members to leadership positions:

Representative James Kolleh – Chairperson, Committee on Rules, Order and Administration

Representative P. Mike Jurry– Chairperson, Committee on Ways, Means and Finance

Representative Sekou Kanneh – Chairperson, Committee on Executive

Representative Emmanuel Dahn – Co-Chair, Committee on Executive

Representative Nehker Gaye – Chairperson, Committee on Foreign Affairs

Additional appointments to other standing and statutory committees are expected to follow next session day according to Speaker Koon
