Five Students Sponsored by Hon. Ernest M. Manseah Graduate from UNILAK, Catherine Manseah Emerges Top of IT Department

Kigali, Rwanda β€” June 26, 2025

The University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK) held its 19th graduation ceremony today in Kigali, Rwanda, marking a significant milestone for hundreds of students β€” including five graduates sponsored by Hon. Ernest M. Manseah, District 4 Representative from Nimba County, Liberia.

Hon. Manseah, known for his commitment to education reform and youth empowerment, had sponsored over ten students at UNILAK as part of his education initiative. Today, five of them celebrated their academic success as they proudly walked across the graduation stage.

The graduates are:

1. Elvis Manseah – Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

2. Catherine Manseah – Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

3. Rancy Manseah – Bachelor of Arts in Rural Development

4. Prince Bumie – Bachelor of Arts in Rural Development

5. Leo Henry – Bachelor of Arts in Rural Development

Among the graduates, Catherine Manseah distinguished herself as the top student in the Information Technology department, earning the prestigious title of dux β€” a recognition awarded to the best-performing student in a given faculty.

β€œThis is not just a personal victory,” said Catherine during a brief interview with our correspondent Jonathan Dwayen Leaway after the ceremony. β€œIt is a testament to what access to quality education can do for young people when leaders believe in us.”

During the 2023 general and presidential elections, Hon Manseah pledged to make education a cornerstone of his representation. Seeing these students β€” especially from his district β€” excel at an international university is both fulfilling and inspiring.

UNILAK, a fast-growing private university in East Africa, continues to attract international students through its diverse programs and commitment to academic excellence. This year’s graduation showcased not only scholastic achievement but also the strength of international partnerships and personal philanthropy in building educational bridges across the continent.

As these five graduates return to contribute to their communities, their success shines as a beacon of what can be achieved through vision, opportunity, and perseverance.

Success Online TV family wishes y'all the best. Use your education wisely.

Kings and Queens International School Dominates 7th National Press Club Exhibition

By: Journalist Jackson Kergongor Beah

Montserrado County, Liberia – June 20, 2025 β€” Youth Media Action (YMA) successfully hosted its 7th National Press Club Exhibition on Friday, June 20, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex main hall in Montserrado County. The event, held under the theme "Strengthening High School Press Clubs for Professional Journalism," brought together budding journalists from five high schools across Liberia.

Participating schools included Jesus’ Love Academy, Kings and Queens International School, Soltiamon Christian School System, Upstairs Christian Academy, and Assembly of God Mission School. The occasion served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their journalistic skills and engage in healthy competition.

Kings and Queens International School emerged as the undisputed champion in both the elementary and senior high divisions. The senior high division scored an impressive 93.6%, while the elementary division secured a strong 89.7%, surpassing Soltiamon Christian School System’s elementary division, which scored 79.8%.

This year’s victory marks a remarkable milestone for Kings and Queens: it is the fourth consecutive win for their elementary division and the second in a row for their senior high division. As part of their reward, the elementary division received a cash prize of 25,000 Liberian Dollars, while the senior high division was awarded 40,000 Liberian Dollars.

In a special statement addressed, YMA CEO Mr. Varmah Kamara emphasized the importance of nurturing press clubs in high schools across Liberia. He noted that empowering students through journalism promotes critical thinking, accountability, and a culture of truth-telling from a young age.

Notably, Jesus' Love Academy was the only school that traveled from Ganta City to participate in the event, reflecting the growing national appeal and commitment to youth media development.

The National Press Club Exhibition continues to be a cornerstone event for student journalism in Liberia, inspiring future media practitioners and strengthening the role of press clubs in educational institutions.
