THE IMPACT SPOTLIGHT SERIES:
The Inspiring Journey of Miss Delphine Williams.
Miss Williams’ life is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and an unwavering determination to create change.
Growing up in a slum community in Liberia as the second of four children, her early years were marked by hardship. Sharing a bathroom with nearly the entire neighborhood and struggling to access education, her path was anything but easy. Yet, through determination and perseverance, she became the only one among her siblings to attend university, a reality that fuels her drive to make the most of every opportunity, not only for herself but for others who may never receive the same chance.
Her deepest passion lies in maternal and infant health. Witnessing the heartbreaking toll of maternal and infant mortality in Liberia, where too many mothers and babies are lost due to a lack of basic necessities, inspired her to take action. Out of this passion she Founded "DelMai MamaKit", a brand created with love and compassion to ensure that every mother has what she needs for a safe and healthy delivery.
To sharpen her skills and broaden her impact, Miss Williams earned an Honor Diploma in Software Engineering from BlueCrest University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and Management at the University of Liberia. She is also a certified doula, providing emotional and physical support to mothers during childbirth, and a certified health entrepreneur with two certifications from the USAID Bridge-U Program in collaboration with the University of Liberia College of Health Sciences.
Beyond academics and entrepreneurship, her faith is the anchor of her journey. She remains deeply committed to spiritual growth, often sharing devotionals and reflections to inspire others. Above all, she treasures her role as a proud mother to a daughter who motivates her daily to push forward with courage and grace.
Balancing motherhood, studies, business, and faith has not always been easy. Yet, Miss Williams’ story is a reminder that our beginnings do not define our future. Though she often describes herself as “broken, but becoming,” her journey continues to unfold as a beacon of hope—proof that with courage, faith, and perseverance, even the humblest beginnings can give rise to a life of meaning and impact.
What a determination!
