A man in India digs up his late sister’s body to take to the bank after the bank reportedly refused to let him withdraw her money because they insisted the owner of the account must appear in person.
A 55-year-old man from Odisha, a state in India, has shocked many after a strange incident at a bank while trying to withdraw about 20,000 Indian rupees, approximately KSh 34,000 from his late sister’s savings account.
Reports say bank officials repeatedly insisted he bring the account holder in person to process the withdrawal, even after he explained that she had died.
Frustrated and unaware of the correct legal process, the man went to the extreme of exhuming his sister’s grave and bringing her skeleton to the bank as proof of death, leaving staff and the public stunned.
