He disappeared just minutes into a river dive in Hunan and ended up stranded in an air pocket deep inside a complex cave system.
Rescue teams from multiple provinces searched for days, repeatedly diving through dangerous depths with almost no visibility.
Wang was finally found after he waved a flashlight as his oxygen levels dropped to just 4%.
Despite the ordeal, he walked out without a stretcher, astonishing everyone on the scene.
