Youth Voices Online Launched on International Youth Day 2015, the Youth Voices Newspaper is Liberia’s first independent youth-focused Newspaper published under GASD’s Youth Media & Advocacy Program.

Youth Voices Online is a non-profit media program by the Global Action for Sustainable Development formerly Consolidated Youth for Peace & Development a registered non-profit development organization operating in Liberia since 2008. Launched in 2015 under the Youth Media Advocacy Program, Youth Voices is dedicated to producing quality, independent journalism devoted to policy issues and programs affecting children, women, and youth, especially the disadvantaged, gender-related and rights.

The National Coordinator of Liberia CSOs Anti-Corruption Coalition, James Koryor will serve as a Guest on the OK FM Early Morning Show (8:00 AM-9:00 AM) Monday, June 14, 2021.

Mr. Koryor will zoom in on the Poor Quality of Leadership at Liberia’s premier Data House, Liberia Institute for Statistics & Geo-Information Services (LISGIS). His discussion will highlight and unfold the gross violation of national transparency and accountability laws, frameworks and regulations including massive corruption, and mismanagement of funding provided by Government to conduct the 2019 Census.

Mr. Koryor argument will be evidence-based, data-driven, and backed by documents.

The Roadmap to Drug Policy Reform in Liberia National Stakeholders Roundtable a one (1) day National Stakeholder Engagement Roundtable with key institutions including the National Legislature to identify current challenges, develop concrete actions point, and recommendation to ensure that the current Liberian Drug Law is review and amended to address the issue of evidence base drug prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for substance users in Liberia.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective of the event is provide a platform for national stakeholders to present current challenges and gaps in the current drug law to develop a single agenda for engagement for a national consultation to review and amendment of the current drug law. The overall objective of the project is to ensure that Liberia has a drug law is aligned with the Model Drug Law for West Africa and other internationally accepted drug policies.

The event specific objectives are three:

1. Provide a platform for stakeholders engagement
2. To increase coordination and information sharing among relevant state and non-state actors
3. To set the agenda for a comprehensive drug policy reform in Liberia

Are you a member or leader of a youth-led organization interested in fighting drug abuse in your community? Then join other youth leaders in COHORT I of the Integrated Peer Education Training Program.

The program is a peer education engagement to prevent substance use among young people in Liberia. The primary goal of the program is to equip young people able to develop, adopt and sustain healthy attitudes and behaviors towards a drug-free Liberia.

Given the context, the Integrated Peer Education Training Program is a professional development initiative of the Global Action for Sustainable Development-GASD and partners designed to nurture the next generation of individuals highly qualified to assume leadership positions at the community, local and national level.

The program gives three months of structured learning and networking opportunities to a diverse cohort group of young leaders. The program provides Peer Educators with a short-term opportunity to work as a group in addressing local challenges. This training is merit-based and has a competitive application process with a focus on the leadership and professional development of the Peer Educators. It is the coming together of the brightest minds to create a visible change in society.

We need to heavily relay on Federation Liberian Youth to greatly impact our Youth because it is the most faster way that any country in the world can grow.

At this time of slowed growth and continued volatility of our Liberians Youth , it is now time that we need to look for policies that will stimulate growth and create new jobs for the Youth. Federation Liberian Youth (FLY) is only one of the fastest growing Institution directly need to creating Thousand of jobs but it is also an important enabler of innovation and development......
