Family Health Program And Partners Holds Child Health TWG Meeting After its Reform
Ministry of Health through the Family Health Program (FHP) in collaboration with partners holds its first technical working group session since it reformed under the administration of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai to enhance child health and well-being in Liberia.
The meeting was held today September 12, 2024, at Murex Plaza in Monrovia and was attended by key stakeholders including representatives from UNICEF, Clinton Health Access Initiatives, Rescue Our People, and some other departments of the Ministry of Health.
In the meeting, presentations of updates were made by the Family Health Program, Clinton Health Access Initiatives, and National Malaria Control Program Showcasing strives made, gaps, and recommendations on how to improve child health in the country.
The Child Health Technical Working Group (CHTWG) was established in July 2023 as a specialized body composed of experts and stakeholders from various fields, including public health, government agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions, to improve child health outcomes. The group's primary purpose is to provide technical guidance, coordination, and strategic input to shape and enhance child health programs, policies, and interventions.
