The National Identification Registry Boss said before resumption, all Enrollment Staff will sign onto a form in the Deputy Executive Director for Administration (DEDA) office committing themselves to professionalism and integrity in public service before deployment.
The NIR Boss told the gathering that lots is being done behind the scenes to resume the ID process but was quick to mentioned that the NIR will in the coming weeks announce to the public that new security features will be added on the National ID Card (citizen ID card) to avoid duplication as it has been done by criminals over the years.
Executive Director Peters said because of the confusion in the public about foreigners in possession of the citizen's ID Card, the new cards will come with four different colors to show distinction;
1. Liberian Citizens
2. ECOWAS Residents
3. Non-Ecowas Residents and
4. Non-African Residents
The participants were lectured by different facilitators on various topics which includes; customer service, integrity, financial discipline among others.

That refusal was treated as defiance. As “sabotage.” And it was met with extreme violence until he was forcibly renamed “Toby”.
What they tried to break was not just a man, but a memory. A lineage. A connection to ancestors.
Because names carry history. Names carry belonging. Names carry power.
Kunta Kinte’s story also forces us to confront uncomfortable truths. He was captured by fellow Africans before being sold into slavery. This reminds us that oppression often succeeds when dignity collapses and human life loses its value. That lesson is not only historical. It echoes into the present.
Kunta Kinte stands as a symbol of resistance. Not because he won every battle, but because he never surrendered his sense of self, even when his body was broken.
His story asks us hard questions today:
What have we been forced to forget?
What names, cultures, and identities have we allowed to be erased?
And what does resistance look like in our own time?
To remember Kunta Kinte is to remember that freedom begins with knowing who you are, and refusing to let the world rename you.
