NHA MEETS WITH BARNESVILLE ESTATE LEADERSHIP OVER SOCCER PITCH PROJECT CONCERNS
Monrovia, Liberia โ The National Housing Authority (NHA) held a consultative meeting with the leadership of the Barnesville Estate Old Timer Association (BOSA) regarding the Barnesville Soccer Pitch Project, an initiative being championed by Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon.
The meeting was convened in response to a formal complaint filed by a group of concerned shop owners, led by Madam Jacqueline Capehart. The complaint alleges that the fence being constructed as part of the soccer pitch project obstructs the front view of their businesses. The shop owners expressed concern that, without NHAโs intervention, the project could negatively impact their commercial activities.
Following extensive deliberations, the Managing Director of the NHA, Madame Florence Geegbae , constituted a technical committee to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the site. The committee will work in collaboration with the project engineer, Mr. Robert Larty, to identify an amicable solution that addresses the concerns raised while allowing the project to proceed.
As part of the next steps, a team from the NHA, accompanied by the Technical Director, will conduct an on-site tour of the soccer pitch project.
