‘Defense Minister Confirms Leaked Audio’
Says Gen. Johnson Was Wrong
Hours after a leaked audio surfaced in which the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) Gen. Prince Johnson was heard harshly speaking against Finance Minister Samuel Tweah, Defense Minister Daniel Dee Ziankahn has confirmed the authenticity of the audio.
Minister Ziankahn admitted that the voice in the audio is that of Maj. Gen. Johnson.

Chappy FC Gets New Name, Management
Formerly Chappy FC of the ELWA Sub-Committee League is now under new management and will now play the upcoming third division league as Montserrado United. The change comes as a result of a recent buying of the team for an undisclosed amount by Former Pepper FC president Shad Wlutobo.

‘Abandoned Baby Found Dead’
Less than 24 hours of Mother’s Day celebration in Liberia, the dead body of a baby girl believed to be one week old was on Monday, May 9, 2022 discovered on Gabriel Turker’s Bridge in Monrovia.
The infant was found lying wrapped in a ‘Saba Tie Soap Bag’ believed to be dropped there by her mother.

WEWA Graduates 194 Women
The Women Empowerment in West Africa (WEWA) in partnership with Project Rotary Club of Monrovia has graduated about 194 women from four slum communities in Monrovia in basic business, financial management and peace building after five months training. The graduation ceremony is the first since the establishment of the organization.

Gongloe Sweeps Out Corruption
…But Cephus Lashes At Him
The ground of the Temple of Justice in Monrovia was on Thursday, May 5, 2022 a scene of drama when presidential hopeful Cllr. Tiawan Gongloe was seen with broom symbolically sweeping corruption from the country justice system.
Gongloe said injustices, favoritism, nepotism, massive and uncontrollable corruption were among several reasons for his rare sweeping of the Temple of Justice.
The presidential hopeful stated the system is engulfed with corruption.

Fire Destroys NTA Building
The National Transit Authority (NTA) headquarters along the Japanese Freeway in Gardnersville, near Monrovia was Thursday, May 5, 2022 gutted by fire, thus destroying the administrative building. The entire building was destroyed including important documents and some cash as well.

‘NEC Boss Fumbles In Court’
Struggles To Validate CPP Original Document
The National Elections Commission Boss Madam Davidetta Browne-Lansanah on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 struggled to defend that the CPP Framework Document presented to the Monrovia City Court by her was the original document filed to NEC.
On the witness stand, Madam Browne-Lansanah was quizzed by government lawyers whether it was the document for which she was being subpoena; she responded: “It is the exact document that is filed to NEC.”
