Amb Robert Robberkoun Wherboe Jr. , a member of the Social Work Student Association at the University of Liberia writes;

A Life Marked by Service: My Passion for Social Work.

From childhood to my youthful years, my life has been shaped by an unwavering commitment to service. Helping others has never been a mere obligation; it is a part of who I am. I find fulfillment in guiding people to think, innovate, and discover themselves, unlocking potential they never knew they had.

There is a deep passion inside me—one that refuses to fade, one that compels me to care, support, and uplift others, even when they do not reciprocate the same energy. Service, for me, is not about recognition or reward; it is about impact. It is about seeing lives transformed, hope restored, and barriers broken.

With all of this embedded in my core, I can say with absolute certainty: there is no profession more worth studying, no path more fulfilling, than social work. Social work is not just a career—it is a calling, a movement, a force for change. It aligns perfectly with my belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.

As we celebrate World Social Work Day, I reflect on why I do what I do. The answer is simple: because service is my life’s purpose. Social work gives me the tools to channel my passion into real solutions, to be an agent of change, and to leave a legacy of hope, empowerment, and transformation.

Happy World Social Work Day!

Press Release

Subject: Update on LiDuHSAA Homecoming Program – Revised Plan

Dear Members of the Liberia Dujar High School Alumni Association (LiDuHSAA),

We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen financial constraints, we are unable to proceed with some of our initial plans for the LiDuHSAA Homecoming Program, including the proposed packages and the dinner night. Despite our efforts to secure pre-financing, our request was declined, and the estimated costs of printed materials exceeded our expectations. Given the short timeframe and financial uncertainties, moving forward with the original plan is not feasible.

However, the Alumni Homecoming Program Committee remains committed to ensuring a successful event. After careful discussions, we have agreed on an alternative plan that will allow us to celebrate our alma mater while working within our current financial capacity.

Revised Homecoming Plan – April 12, 2025

1. Parade:
- The parade will remain a major highlight.
- Alumni and 12th-grade students will march with banners and school uniforms.
- A sound system or a simple marching band will be arranged to add excitement.

2. Sports Events:
- Friendly football and kickball matches between alumni and the current 12th graders.
- Alumni and well-wishers are encouraged to support by providing jerseys, water, and other essentials.

To cover basic expenses such as refreshments, a sound system, and event logistics, each LiDuHSAA member is required to contribute $5 USD. We also encourage alumni and businesses to support with in-kind contributions, including water, refreshments, and other necessary items.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. Let’s come together to make this Homecoming a memorable one for all!

For further inquiries and contributions, please contact the Homecoming Committee.

Hon. Yekeh Kolubah reveals a shocking conspiracy involving Chinese businessman Gao Feng and LBS Director General Eugene Fahngon. Accusations of bribery, fabricated torture cases, and media manipulation aim to deport Michael Shio amidst business rivalry

Monrovia, Liberia – Hon. Yekeh Kolubah of District 10, Montserrado County, has accused members of the House of Representatives of accepting $300,000 from Chinese businessman Gao Feng, also known as “The Real Minister,” to fabricate the Momoh David torture case. The alleged motive? To kickstart deportation proceedings against Michael Shio based on false allegations concocted by Eugene Fahngon.

A medical report from ELWA Hospital throws the entire story into question, suggesting a concerted smear campaign orchestrated by Fahngon and Gao Feng. The report debunks claims that Shio poured hot oil on David and instead points to a fire as the cause of David’s injuries, which occurred days after the alleged incident.

Further stirring the pot, Hon. Kolubah alleges that Fahngon received $500,000 from Gao Feng, with $300,000 allegedly used to sway House members. The story unfolds against a backdrop of business rivalry and prior accusations of illicit mining against Gao Feng, fined $18 million by Liberia's Ministry of Mines and Energy in 2024.

Emerging reports hint at a deliberate campaign to tarnish Shio's reputation, manipulating state-owned media to influence public opinion. The ELWA Hospital report, signed by Dr. Juvenal Musavuli Maghuta, contradicts earlier allegations, indicating that David was injured by fire around January 16, not January 13.

Momoh David’s inconsistent statements and a police report revealing a history of theft and mob justice attacks further weaken the credibility of the torture allegations. This case underscores the importance of factual integrity over politically motivated narratives, urging scrutiny of state-owned media's role in spreading misinformation.

As the investigation continues, it is essential to uphold justice and prevent the manipulation of Liberia’s legal system.

Find attached pieces of evidence shared by Honorable Yekeh Kolubah to back his allegations.

Medical Report Challenges Allegations Against Chinese Investor Michael Shio

Claims of a Smear Campaign Involving Eugene Fahgon and Gao Feng (Barry)

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The legal battle against Chinese investor Michael Shio has taken a dramatic turn following the release of an official medical report from ELWA Hospital, which contradicts allegations that he poured hot oil on Momoh David. The report’s findings raise serious concerns about a potential orchestrated smear campaign involving Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Director General Eugene Fahgon and Chinese businessman Gao Feng, also known as Barry.

On February 19, 2025, the Monrovia City Court received the ELWA Hospital medical report in response to a writ of subpoena duces tecum. The report, signed by Consultant Surgeon Dr. Juvenal Musavuli Maghuta, challenges claims that Shio assaulted David on January 13, 2025.

Key Findings from the ELWA Medical Report:
- David was admitted to ELWA Hospital on January 17, 2025, at 11:41 PM—four days after the alleged attack.
- Medical examination confirmed that his injuries were caused by fire, not hot oil.
- The burns occurred approximately 24 hours before hospitalization, meaning David was injured around January 16, not January 13, when the alleged attack was said to have taken place.

These findings directly contradict the narrative promoted by Eugene Fahgon and LBS, raising concerns about potential misinformation and manipulation of the legal system.

Despite these inconsistencies, Fahgon and state-owned LBS aggressively pushed the story that Shio tortured David. In a February 12, 2025, Facebook Live broadcast, Fahgon was seen leading David into making misleading statements:
•Fahgon falsely implied that David had been hospitalized since January 13, though David never confirmed this himself.
•At the 4-minute mark of the video, Fahgon asked, “My understanding is that you spent three days in that compound, is that true?" David did not respond, but his mother answered, “yes."

This claim contradicts police records, which confirm that David was caught stealing on January 13 at 9:00 AM and taken to Zone 3 Police Station by 10:30 AM—making it impossible for him to have been held captive for three days. Further, in a February 17, 2025, Spoon TV interview, David admitted that he was taken to the police station on the same day of the alleged assault.

Momoh David’s Criminal History & Mob Justice Incidents:
Investigations into David’s past reveal a pattern of theft and frequent encounters with mob justice:
•January 10, 2025 – Caught stealing wires from a Lone Star Tower; beaten by a mob (incident recorded at Zone 3 Police Station).
•January 11, 2025 – Beaten again after attempting theft near Sando Cooper’s residence in Congo Town.
•January 12, 2025 – Tortured by a mob following another theft attempt; escaped while being taken for medical treatment.
•January 13, 2025 – Caught stealing a solar panel at Shio’s construction site opposite RC Lawson School.

These repeated incidents suggest that David’s burns may have resulted from a separate fire-related incident rather than an attack by Shio.

Alleged Financial Conspiracy Involving Eugene Fahgon & Gao Feng
Reports indicate that Fahgon was allegedly paid $200,000 by Gao Feng (Barry) to fabricate allegations against Shio, using state-owned media to sway public opinion. Fahgon’s close ties to Gao date back to a 2024 illicit mining scandal, where Gao was fined over $22 million for illegal mining in Gbarpolu County. Shio’s business interests reportedly clashed with Gao’s, fueling speculation that the case was part of a larger scheme for revenge.

Additionally, sources claim that Fahgon and Gao paid $300,000 to some representatives in an effort to pressure the House of Representatives into intervening in the case and advocating for Shio’s deportation—bypassing due legal process.

As the case unfolds, these revelations raise pressing questions: Was this a genuine criminal case, or a politically and financially motivated attack on a business rival?
