The Planning Committee of the Lofa County Homecoming organized by the District #:4 Youth Alliance is pleased to share with everyone what we have come up with for our upcoming Road Trip to Voinjama City, Lofa County, this December. 🇱🇷❤️💚💙

After careful planning and consideration, we are proposing a 5-day trip designed to give us an opportunity to reconnect with our roots, experience our culture, and create lasting memories together.

🚌 5-DAY ROAD TRIP TO VOINJAMA

Contribution: US$40 per person

The US$40 package will include:
🏨 Hotel accommodation
🍽️ Feeding
🚌 Transportation

Those in Lofa County
$15 dollars person

During the trip, we will also have opportunities to visit and experience some of Lofa County’s beautiful and historical sites, including Wologisi Mountain, the Lofa River, and other cultural and historical locations.

This is more than just a trip it is an opportunity to Reconnect, Rebuild, and Reunite as young people of District #4.

We are sharing this proposal with the group for discussion, feedback, suggestions, and further improvement. The Planning Committee welcomes everyone's ideas as we work together to make this homecoming a successful and memorable experience.

COUNCIL OF BISHOPS PRESIDENT BISHOP RUBEN SAENZ JR. ARRIVES IN LIBERIA FOR AFRICA COLLEGE OF BISHOPS MEETING

RIA, LIBERIA — Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr., President of the Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church, has arrived in Liberia to participate in the 2026 Africa College of Bishops Meeting.

Bishop Saenz’s arrival marks a significant moment as bishops from across Africa gather in Liberia for the historic meeting, being hosted by the Liberia Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church.

The gathering brings together active and retired United Methodist bishops from across the African continent to reflect, deliberate, and strengthen the mission and ministry of the Church in Africa.

The meeting is being held under the theme, “Deepening Ecumenical Engagement, Expanding Continental Influence and Strengthening Institutional Sustainability,” with Isaiah 54:2 serving as the biblical text: “Enlarge the space of your tent.”

The presence of Bishop Saenz underscores the importance of Africa’s growing contribution to the global United Methodist Church and provides an opportunity for deeper collaboration among church leaders.

The Liberia Episcopal Area expressed delight at welcoming the Council of Bishops President to Liberia, describing his participation as an important part of the historic gathering.

The Africa College of Bishops Meeting is expected to address key issues affecting the Church, while exploring opportunities to strengthen mission, leadership, unity, and the Church’s witness across Africa.

Margibi County Attorney Cllr. H. Deddeh Jomah Wilson has ordered the arrest of Eric Wilise Wowoh, founder and executive director of Change Agent Network, over criminal allegations arising from a disputed 2.03-lot property.

The complaint, filed by John and Rebekah Acquah through their attorney, Stephen BigBoy Lavalah, alleges criminal conveyance of land, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation and theft of property.

Wilson issued a restraining order, stop order and writ of arrest on Aug. 27, directing law enforcement officers in Margibi County to take Wowoh and others identified in the complaint into custody.

The Liberia National Police, through Units 102 and 105, has endorsed the arrest order and directed its officers to enforce it. The Acquahs allege they acquired the property from Wowoh but later discovered that the same land was being offered or prepared for sale to other individuals.

The case is expected to proceed through the RIA Magisterial Court and the 13th Judicial Circuit Court as authorities investigate the allegations and determine the next legal steps.
