Monrovia -Liberia November 28, 2024 FCCl Makes Available LD$162,000.000 To Support Students In Fuamah Administrative District.
The Foundation for Children Care International (FCCI) has made available LD$162,000.000 to support several students in Fuamah Administrative District, B**g County.
Through this initiative, FCCI has extended significant financial resources to three key schools in the region: Botoe Barclay Public School, Nancy B. Doe Public School, and Dobli Island Public School.
This generous aid is part of FCCI’s ongoing commitment to improving educational outcomes for children in underserved regions of Liberia.
The foundation believes that investing in education is crucial to empowering young people and fostering long-term community development.
The recipient students, located in some of the most rural and economically disadvantaged areas of Fuamah District, have long faced financial challenges that hinder their ability to deliver quality education.
FCCI’s Executive Director, Patrick Johnson Jr, emphasized the importance of these investments: “At FCCI, we understand that access to quality education is not a luxury, but a fundamental right. Our aim is to level the playing field for children in remote and underserved communities. This financial support will help these schools enhance their facilities, equip their teachers, and ensure that students have the resources they need to succeed.”
1. Botoe Barclay Public School
Located in the heart of Fuamah District, has been serving the local community for over two decades. Despite its dedicated staff and hardworking students, the school has faced significant challenges in maintaining its facilities and meeting the educational needs of its growing student body. The financial aid provided by FCCI will help the school expand its capacity, upgrade classrooms, and improve sanitation facilities.
2. Nancy B. Doe Public School is another key beneficiary of this financial support. With an enrollment of over 600 students, the school plays a pivotal role in educating children from surrounding villages. The aid provided will support the school in its efforts to provide a more conducive learning environment, including the construction of additional classrooms and the provision of learning materials.
3. Dobli Island Public School
Situated on Dobli Island, this school faces unique challenges due to its remote location. With limited access to resources and infrastructure, the students and teachers of Dobli Island Public School often struggle to provide and receive adequate educational services.
The financial aid provided to these students aligns with FCCI’s broader mission to create sustainable educational opportunities across Liberia.
By supporting students in rural areas, FCCI aims to ensure that all children, regardless of their location or socio-economic status, can access a quality education that empowers them to succeed and contribute to their communities.
The Foundation has committed to closely monitoring the progress of this initiative, collaborating with local education authorities, community leaders, and school administrators to ensure that the funds are utilized effectively and transparently.
Foundation for Children Care International (FCCI) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Liberia and other West African nations.
