The Media Institute of Liberia (MIL) operates at the intersection of journalism education and broader media development efforts. It was established to foster a robust and independent media landscape and is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of journalists and enhancing the skills of current media practiti

oners. Through its comprehensive programs and initiatives, the institute aims to promote ethical journalism, support press freedom, and contribute to the overall development of the Liberian media sector. The institute tailors its intervention into five program domains as follows:
๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง -Through its journalism certificate and diploma program, MIL will offer a range of training tailored to meet the needs of aspiring journalists and seasoned professionals. These programs encompass various aspects of journalism, including news writing, investigative reporting, multimedia journalism, and ethical standards in media

Earlier this year, 15 aspiring community radio broadcasters at Radio Totota with most of whom for the first time benefited professional journalism skills development through an extensive in-station workshop organized by Media Institute of Liberia .

Our on-site training initiative is designed to allow media trainers spend much time and engagement with our capacity building participants.

The workshop largly focused on best practices on community radio.management., basic
news writing and research skills, participatory radio program among others.
