On March 25, during the 21st day sitting, plenary took a decision to suspend Representative Yekeh Kolubah in accordance with its 47.8 of the House's standing rule which gives the right to plenary to take such action against one of its members.
But, a motion of reconsideration was filed by Montserrado District #8 Representative Moses Acarous Gray, such motion delayed legislator Kolubah's suspension. Under the house's rule, a motion for reconsideration must be tried and tested after three working sessions, inclusive of the day of the filing of such motion.
However, the rule mandates the Movants of a motion for reconsideration must file a written communication to the office of the chief clerk challenging the suspension within the time allotted for the motion to be tried and tested on the floor. But Representative Gray, the movant in this case, failed to meet up with the set requirement for the motion of reconsideration.
In reaction against Senator Dillon's assertion, Representative Moses Acarous Gray revealed that the House of Representatives had suspended Kolubah in accordance with House’s Standing rule 47.8 C in the House.
He further reiterated his argument that Representative Kolubah remains suspended and not to be seen at the perimeter of the House of Representatives.
