LBNM Cracks Down on Unaccredited Nursing Schools

The Liberian Board of Nursing and Midwifery is taking a tough stance against illegal nursing schools, aiming to protect public health and uphold professional standards.

Speaking at the Region One State Board Exams in Montserrado County, LBNM Education Director Shelly Wright warned that unaccredited institutions risk producing unqualified health workers, putting lives at risk.

The board is allowing only students from accredited schools, registered in its digital database, to sit the national exams. Over 600 nursing and midwifery students from six counties are taking part in the exams.
