Within a period of one year that BMMC has made a remarkable progress.”

According to Mr. Fahnbulleh, 600 employees have been trained in various vocational disciplines, while 4,000 people have received health and safety specific training; something he described as a plus for the Mine.
In his address, the Health and Safety Manager also spoke about what he calls “building a culture of competence” among the workforce which he says has created a responsibility to individuals, and safety in the workplace.
He continues: “come in the next one year, we are confident that these achievements will double as we continue to invest in our employees. Because when we invest in the people, we invest in safety; when we invest in people, we invest also in productivity and invest in our future as a company”.

So, with much I do, guys please put these trainings and certificates to test, take them as a livelihood for yourselves, for your respective families, for Liberia and the world at large”

For his part, the Workers Union Chairman of BMMC Paul Wah thanked and appreciated the Company for its continuous efforts in refining the skills of local workers.
“Firstly, I will take this time to extend thanks and appreciations to BMMC. This is the second certification since I got elected as Chairman of the Workers Union. BMMC has been making it possible to impact knowledge into Liberians and we hope this won’t be the last.” BMMC’s Workers Union Chairman Paul Wah told the gathering.

Chairman Wah further encouraged the Company’s Management to continue rolling out trainings of these kinds for the Liberian workers describing it as the surest treasures that the Company can leave with Liberians.

This is not the first time for BMMC to certificate trained local workers. It can be recalled, during the first quarters of this year, BMMC trained and certificated 500 local workers in separate disciplines. Bea Mountain Rehabilitates Bomi To Monrovia Highway in Western Liberia, As Citizens Commend the Company

As part of its efforts to buttress the Liberian Government to ensure improved road network, the Management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) has joined the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Public Works to rehabilitate the Bomi to Monrovia Highway, a major route for thousands of Liberians travelling from Liberia to other West African nations, including Sierra Leone and Guinea.

The road rehabilitation initiative, which was formally launched on July 20, 2025, brought together the Senior Management Team of BMMC, Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent, and representatives from the Ministry of Public Works.

When completed, the rehabilitation of the Bomi to Monrovia Highway by Bea Mountain will restore the heavily damaged road and ease the many constraints faced by travelers, especially during the rainy season.
During the launch of the road rehabilitation, the Government & Community Affairs Manager of Bea Mountain, Alpaslan Ozbilge stated that BMMC is committed to improving the well-being of Liberians beyond the mining sector. “We are not only here to mine resources but also to invest in the lives and future of the Liberian people. This road is critical to movement, trade, and access to services, and we are proud to play a role in transforming it,” he said.
“This intervention is not just about fixing potholes; it’s about paving the way for economic growth, safety, and progress,” added Mr. OZBILGE “Bea Mountain believes that when communities thrive, we all succeed.”
This partnership stands as a shining example of what public-private collaboration can achieve in addressing Liberia’s infrastructure challenges and promoting sustainable development.
With BMMC leading the charge, the future of Liberia’s western transport network looks brighter than ever.
“BMMC will supply the crushed rocks daily to upgrade the damaged portions of the highway and provide other equipment when necessary. This commitment was clearly seen as the Company dispatched trucks with more than 30 loads of crushed rock to immediately begin the work.

For his part, the Assistant Minister for Operations at the Ministry of Public Works, Margret Sarsil, lauded BMMC for the timely intervention. “This is what a real partnership looks like. Bea Mountain’s support is not only timely, but it also reflects a shared responsibility to rebuild Liberia’s infrastructure.
We will continue to work closely with BMMC to ensure the successful completion of this project,” she stated.
The Bomi-Monrovia highway is a key corridor connecting Western Liberia to the Capital, Monrovia as the rehabilitation will significantly reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and open access to markets, health centers, and schools.
