2 Sundays back I met a potential business partner who is old enough to be my dad and I asked for his wisdom on money, marriage, career and entrepreneurship. This is what he said; a thread:

Staying positive keeps us motivated. With the hope that we will eventually reach our destination, we are able to get through the most challenging parts of the journey.

Most of us begin our journeys with hope and enthusiasm. When our minds are positive, we don't notice the difficulties on our path as much, but when we lose hope and become pessimistic, even the smooth part of the journey seems a hard walk.

Remain optimistic, hopeful, and courageous. No one's journey is ever smooth. There are rough patches, turns, and bends, but if you walk every step with a positive mindset, no matter how hard it gets or how tired you feel, you will make it to the end.

STORY TIME!

Once upon a time, in the heart of the forest, there lived two unlikely friends: Hare and Tortoise. Hare was known for his boundless energy, while Tortoise was wise but slow-moving.

One day, a terrible drought struck the forest. The once-lush greenery turned brown, and the animals suffered. Food became scarce, and despair settled over the creatures. Hare, who usually raced around, now sat dejectedly under a withered tree.

Tortoise, noticing Hare's sadness, approached him. "My friend," he said, "we mustn't lose hope. Even in the darkest times, there's a way forward."

"But how?" Hare replied, his ears drooping. "The rivers have dried up, and the sun scorches everything."

Tortoise thought for a moment. "Listen carefully," he said. "Beyond the hills lies a legendary well—the
Well of Endless Hope. They say its waters can revive even the most desolate land."

Hare's eyes widened. "But it's so far away! And I'm fast, but not that fast."

Tortoise smiled. "That's where our strengths come into play. You'll run ahead, and I'll follow at my own pace. Together, we'll reach the well."

And so, Hare set off, his legs a blur as he raced across the barren landscape. Tortoise plodded behind, steady and determined. Along the way, they encountered challenges: thorny bushes, steep cliffs, and scorching sands. But they pressed on, each playing their part.

Days turned into weeks. Hare grew tired, but he remembered Tortoise's unwavering spirit. "I can't give up," he thought. "Tortoise believes in me."

Finally, they reached the hill overlooking the Well of Endless Hope. Hare collapsed, panting, while Tortoise arrived, his shell dusty but intact.

The well shimmered—a deep pool of crystal-clear water. Hare dipped his paw, and the water sparkled like diamonds. "Is this real?" he wondered.

Tortoise nodded. "Drink, my friend. Let hope flow through you."

Hare drank, and a surge of energy filled him. His legs felt lighter, and his heart lifted. "Thank you," he said to Tortoise. "You kept me going."

Tortoise smiled. "And you reminded me that speed isn't everything. Hope and determination matter more."

Together, they returned to the forest. Hare shared the well's water with every creature, and soon, life returned. The trees sprouted new leaves, and the rivers flowed once more.

From then on, Hare and Tortoise were inseparable. They taught the other animals about hope, resilience, and the power of working together. Whenever someone felt defeated, they'd say, "Remember the Well of Endless Hope."

And so, dear friend, when you feel lost or hopeless, think of Hare and Tortoise. Remember that even in the darkest times, there's a well of hope waiting for you.

THE TORTOISE'S TEARS

A Short Moral Story.

Long, long time ago, an old magician called Odin visited the animal kingdom. He was the greatest and most powerful magician in all the worlds. He gathered all the animals and told them,

"I want to give animals the gift of magic, making you able to become powerful magicians on your own. To gain the magical power, each animal will fetch me a bottle of salt water. However, I will cause the salt river to dry up in fifty minutes, so if you're not fast enough, the river will dry up before you even reach there to fetch the water, and you will lose out on this great opportunity. Your time starts now!"

Instantaneously, all the animals got their bottles and started running towards the salt river. They ran as fast as they could in order to reach there before the river dried up.

The first animal to reach the salt river was the cheetah. He was fast enough to reach there in twenty minutes. He quickly filled his own bottle and returned to the magician and he immediately gained the magical power. He began to dance with excitement.

The antelope was the second animal to reach the salt river. He was followed by the horse, then the lion, then the hare, then the kangaroo, then the ostrich, then the deer, then the zebra, etc. They all shouted in jubilation as they gained the magical power.

However, unfortunately for the tortoise, he was a very slow animal. He was moving at a slow speed and therefore was surprisingly far from the salt river. He kept moving and moving, never looking backward, until he finally reached there, but the river had already dried up.

All the animals began making fun of the tortoise for his slow pace. They laughed at him heartlessly and mocked him for missing out on the great opportunity.

Meanwhile, the tortoise covered his face and immediately began to shed tears. He cried and cried for a while, until his eyes became red and swollen. As he returned, he was still crying and approaching the magician.

However, to everyone's great surprise, the tortoise suddenly offered his own bottle of salt water to the magician, and he automatically gained the magical power.

Everyone was completely shocked by what had happened. They wondered how the tortoise came to have the salt water since the river had already dried up before he reached there.

Just then, an animal asked the tortoise curiously,
"The salt river has already dried up... how did you obtain the salt water?"

The tortoise smiled and answered,
"I may be slow in nature, but I'm blessed with exceptional wisdom. The thing is... shortly after the salt river dried up, I realised that tears are salty, just like salt water. And then, I began to cry into my bottle. Everyone thought I was crying out of sadness and disappointment, but I was actually filling my own bottle. Truly, wisdom is rare!"

MORAL LESSON:
Wisdom is the knowledge which helps us to find practical solutions to problems. Be wise. Be smart. Be Clever. And be quick-witted. Life can put you in a very difficult situation, but if you're wise enough, you can easily find your way out.

DO YOU TRUST YOUR PARTNER?

A wife suspected her husband of having s.ex with the helper, then she set a trap for the husband by sending the auntie to the village for weekend without telling the husband.

At night, the husband told his usual story "Darling i want to go and watch soccer in the sitting room" and he left.

The wife silently went to the house maid's room lying down on the bed naked without any light, and the door was open and someone join her on the bed without wasting time and without a word, he had se.x with her.

After the fifth round she said, it's enough, i have caught you, so this is how you use to have s.ex with her, and you will do two round with me and tell me you are tired; fifth round now you are still demanding for more hubby?

The security shouted and replied "AM SORRY MADAM I DON'T KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE!

Madam shouted "OH MY GOD!", then the husband rushed in and caught them.

Moral Lesson: Trust is one of the keys to a happy home. Suspicion could bring disaster in marriage in every ramifications.

THE WEDDING GIFT 🎁

•••A TRUE LIFE STORY•••

EPISODE ONE

Marcus and his wife Chiamaka have been married for 15 years without a child and yet thet aren't giving up. Chiamaka has consulted many religion worshipers based on her situation but still no candid sign.

There was a day her husband took her to a herbalist without telling her before hand. When she got there, the man told her husband to talk to her not to leave because he could see her reactions are not welcomed. And truly, she wasn't pleased being in there and also not happy with her husband for taking her there. The man brought out a concoction for her to eat and she rejected it. This caused a lot of arguments between both couple when they left the herbalist house. For days, they ignored each other. Her husband wasn't pleased with what she did, and when he couldn't tolerate the silence between them he had to apologize for peace to reign.

"I told you that going to herbalist or any of this clergy and some Imam for spîrîetuál cleansing of taking what am not supposed to is what I don't like. Do you think God is a fool? He knows the right time has not come. So let me be. I believe it is not yet time.

"Hmm (chuckles) not yet time after 15 years darling. Not yet time hun.

"Yes, it is not yet time. And God's glory can't be shared with any man. It is not like I have not been pregnant. It is always this miscarriage that spoiled it." She bows her head and started sobbing.

THREE DAYS LATER

She went to one of her friends daughters wedding and during the happy moments a girl intentionally let down a plate of soup on her dress. She felt infuriated and confronted her. The girl claims not to have done it intentionally. Chiamaka was so angry with what the girl did until she said something that saddened her.

"Am I the cause of her childlessness. Why passing so much aggression on me.

The girl left immediately she said that leaving Chiamaka speechless, thinking what could have warrant such a insult from her. Her friends tried to control her temper. Begging her to calm. She walked out of the reception angrily to go home. Her friends ask her not to, but she gave an excuse of going to change her cloth. She finally left and the bride mother who is her friend called the rude girl aside to talk to her.

"I did what you asked me to do ma". The girl said moving back from getting hit.

"And did I tell you to insult her that much. Oya go back to your post!" Susan said and the girl ran out.

Chiamaka get inside her room looking so sad. Her husband who was in the living room stood up immediately to check on her. She told him what happened and immediately he consoled her.

"Why? Why is it that some people find pleasure in insulting a barren woman. Is it my choice to be barren! Is it? Oh God! God this is too much for me. A lot of snide talk most of the time because of my situation. Is it my fault?" She cried.

"It is not your fault my love. Infact it's not our fault."

Five months later after going on and on she became pregnant again. And this time around she was more than happy. She took things with care, infact she stopped going to her shop to abstain from stress. One day, she went into a supermarket to get some things. She stood outside drinking cold drink happily when a shabby looking man suddenly shows up in her front almost frightening her.

"You see this baby. You will deliver him but he won't survive." Then he ran away immediately laughing crazily along.

Chiamaka's mouth was opened in shocked not knowing if she should run after him or rain curses over him for what he just said.

KNOW ABOUT LESOTHO 🇱🇸

••PROPHETESS MME MANTSOPA!••

She was born in 1795 and passed away in 1906
Her birth name was Kuenalifule and she got the name Mantsopa after her marriage became her first born was Ntsopa. Mantsopa's other name was Moroka P**a because she knew how to call rain during drought.

° She was Moshoeshoe's spiritual advisor.
° She healed people using water (wells) and combination of herbs.
°Apparently Mme Mantsopa was never baptized baptized but only believed in her visions as a direct communication from the ancestors and not the Bible
Even though she was shown about the arrival of the Bible through her visions, She advised Morena Moshoeshoe to welcome the missionaries.

°She told Basotho that white people coming with Patanta (Thick Book) and holeness button (Coin/money).
°She advised the Basotho to accept the Bible and analyze it thoroughly and told them to be careful because white people were going to use it cunningly. She told the Basotho to refuse the button(money) because it was going to divide them.

° Morena Moshoeshoe always consulted her on national matters especially on wars that were fought by Basotho. Everything she predicted came to pass.

° Apparently Mme Mantsopa never had the name Anna as she refused to be baptized by Christian missionaries. But after they saw the influence she had over the Basotho they lied about her being baptized under them so that they can lure Basotho into their missionary church

° Mme Mantsopa used to pray in caves and one of the caves had a well shaped like a women's va**na, she used the water from this well to heal all women related diseases /problems.
°Men were not allowed to enter the cave, but unfortunately after the Anglican church took over her
caves, their priests (men) started entering the cave and the well dried up.
Below is the well that is shaped like a women's va**na that where she fetched the water to heal people especially women.

DID YOU KNOW?

The children’s book “I AM DAVID” in USA was renamed “ON THE WAY TO AMERICA” yet not even a single sentence in the book talks about America?

The book is about a small boy who escaped from a prison in Germany and went to his mother in Denmark.

In the book, Germany is not plainly mentioned, but it was the European country which had concentration camps (war prisons).

N***s (Manasi) are also not plainly mentioned in the book, only using “they” to refer to them.
