It’s been a while since we posted here… but we have exciting news!

ARÖK Books is back with a new project, this time publishing a book by designer and artist Ringailė Demšytė.

👉 Vilnius Nightlife Graphics 1992–2024 is a bilingual (LT/EN) art book documenting 30 years of Vilnius nightlife through its flyers and posters. The book is in its final stages, and we’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing.

In less than a week we’re already almost 50% funded, and we’d love your support to help us reach the goal.

Boot: Your workshop is titled “How NOT to Design a Photobook.” What is it that photographers often get wrong?

Smith: Because photographers are visual, they usually assume two things: that they can design and that they can edit. But they benefit by letting someone else in. It doesn’t matter how well-known a photographer is, the fact is all photographers need a good editor, someone who they can trust checking or proposing picture and sequence decisions. It’s probably the most important part of putting a book together.
