HYPERFUNKTION just finished up and what an awesome and unexpected, new band into LWS for the first time. It’s also their first rehearsals together in over a decade! They’re an ultra-cool band from Türkiye inspired by “70’s Turkish-psychedelic-funk”. All the style and total dog lovers for the cherry on top.

Sunday Funday was definitely happening having local punkers, THE SH*****SE RATS in for rehearsals. Hilarious, tongue in cheek fun type songs heavy in the vein of RAMONES, MISFITS or SAMHAIN. They’ll be playing a Halloween block party downtown on Oct 18th. Check ‘em out! 🐀 🎸 🥁

Well, well, well what do we have here?! Yep, that’s right, it’s the EX-BOOGYMEN! Easily one of my favorite bands in town. Had the awesome opportunity to have TELEPORTER back in for rehearsals tonight. This is such a fun band to listen to. Influences range from WHITESNAKE and FUGEES to BOB MARLEY and OTIS REDDING. Fantastic players and voices. They’re playing Celebration Pointe this Friday, Sept 5th. If you’re in that area, check ‘em for sure!

SIGNS OF PROGRESS were in with us for a pre-show rehearsal and they brought all the fun! They’re a really tight, powerful punk-pop band with edge and really great female vocals. Makes me think of THE AVENGERS , TSUNAMI BOMB, PALE WAVES and CITY MOUSE. Super solid band with bite.

Someone ordered the heavy and local favorites, DROSERA were in to deliver it! Very well done, hi energy, metallic-hardcore in the vein of bands like CONVERGE, GAZA and FOUNDATION. They’re an especially fun band to catch live and you’ll have the opportunity to do just that as they’ll be playing down @ The OX on 8/16! Mark it in your calendar and go check them out!
