Update on little Buddy. After today's visit with Dr Revel, at Paw Prints Veterinary, we are staying status quo with the Meticam for now. We will see if the swelling continues to decrease. There are no surgical options, the masses are too vascular, and the risk of uncontrolled bleeding is too high. As long as he continues to eat, drink and engage, without pain, we will do what we can. At some point, we will have to say goodbye to him. It is so heartbreaking after the severe abuse and torture he endured, to now not be promised tomorrow. It took him 6 months to trust me enough to pick him and love on him. The scars on his body show the level of abuse. I will spare you the details. Send love and light his way; he is going to need it. We have so many to thank for helping cover today's bill. 's Piggy Bank, Quality of Life Rehab & Foster, Inc., , Fiona Hilyer, Susan Seigler, Vickie Meyers, Margo, and all of you that cared enough to share.
We also had the heartbreak of saying our goodbyes to sweet Mica. She came to us 2 years ago from Lake County AC when her mom, who owned her for 16 years, passed away, and Mica found herself at AC. So was a sweet, loving, funny, quirky little girl, wo loved my husband, and the feeling was mutual. Saying goodbye to such a sweet little lady is so hard. But all we can do is kiss them one final time and wish them well on their journey across The Rainbow Bridge. I know that her momma was waiting on the other side, with open arms, and that gives me comfort. Still, each one that leaves this earth takes more and more with me.
Kiss your babies tonight and hold them a little closer; one never knows what tomorrow will bring.
