Clean and effortless bobbin winding. 🧵An easy threading trick for smooth and consistent results every time.

If you need to topstitch far from the edge and your heat-erasable pen isn't showing up, masking tape is your best friend. 🛠️

I’m sharing 2 simple ways to get perfectly even stitching every time:

1️⃣ Tape on the fabric. Use the edge of the tape as your marking line. No stains, no invisible ink, just perfect rows!
2️⃣ Tape on the machine. Create a custom seam guide on your throat plate for wide topstitching.

Leather Handle Sewing 🧵

I work with a high volume of handle production, so maintaining both speed and consistent quality is essential. 🧵
To streamline the process and reduce the risk of errors, I use a dedicated template that allows me to position the leather precisely every time. 📏
This approach helps ensure uniformity across all pieces, improves efficiency, and minimizes the need for rework. ⚙️

✅ The thread should match the needle size
Although the leather is quite thick and typically calls for size 40 thread and a size 22 or 23 needle, I use a smaller thread and needle so the stitching looks cleaner and more refined.

🔥Crazy Horse leather is a type of full-grain leather with a vintage, rugged look.
It changes color when bent and gets a beautiful patina over time.

✅ When sewing curves like this, I guide the leather with one hand.
I increase speed on straight lines and slow down on turns, carefully rotating the leather.

🕕For stitching 2 mm leather, I use a special leather needle number 22/140🪡, size 20 synthetic thread🧵, and a triple-feed sewing machine Rubina RB-0617D.

Why it works:
✅ Precision: Acts as a rigid guide for a perfectly straight edge.
✅ Speed: No more marking or pinning - just tape and fold.
✅ Safety: No needle holes or permanent ink stains on your fabric.

Chalk is messy, and pens don't show up on dark colors.
✅ My go-to trick for heavy fabrics is masking tape! It stays put, marks the line perfectly, and keeps the fabric from sliding. It’s easy to remove and leaves no trace.

🪡 How to Prevent Skipped Stitches in Heavy Materials ?

❗️Needle size No. 22/140 (LR, DPx17), when sewing webbing together with leather of a total thickness of about 7 mm using thread No. 20, may not provide stable loop formation.

⬇️As a result, the hook does not catch the thread, leading to skipped stitches. This occurs because the needle size does not match the thickness of the material and the thread being used.

✅ To resolve the issue, it is recommended to use a larger needle size (No. 23/160 or No. 24/180), which will ensure more stable loop formation and high stitch quality.

✅Leather and Belt Slider Sewing

I mark points with tape, secure leather with double-sided tape and clips, then sew.
After sewing, I trim and seal threads. Leather & belt 7 mm, thread 20, needle DPx17.
