I can’t believe I’m writing this, but here we are. One of my family members has been fiercely defending Chase’s content from people who’ve been using it without permission. She’s been trying hard to explain to others why it’s important to follow my real page, not the fake ones. But instead of support, all she’s gotten is rude comments like, ”Why do you care? It’s not money out of your pocket,” or ”Does it really matter?”kind of comments.

It’s shocking that people think it’s okay to steal content and claim it as their own. Imagine creating a piece of art, and someone just copies it with a printer and sells it for a profit. For so many of us content creators, we make little to nothing from what we do—it’s done out of love for our pets and to make people smile. When someone steals that joy and hard work, it’s beyond frustrating. It feels like pure cruelty to take something so personal and turn it into a scam.
