Some interiors are too photogenic — you show up, and they basically do the job for you. This apartment by Marita from .lv is one of those. Calm tones, clean lines, a few gutsy pops of blue.

In interior photography, light always runs the show. You can’t fake it — you wait, adjust, and let it do the magic. Soft daylight here was perfect for minimalist design, revealing just enough texture without overexposing the calm.

I love photographing modern apartments — they challenge you to stay sharp and see the beauty in restraint. Sometimes less really is more — if you know where to stand.

Warm minimalism with a hint of Wabi Sabi imperfection.

I photographed this cozy family home designed by from , where the vibe was all about keeping it warm, textured, and simple.

The living room merges with the kitchen and hallway, but the space never feels empty. That limewash walls finish brings all the warmth. And the tall wall bookshelf? It’s not just holding books, it’s subtly dividing the living area without closing it off. For me, that’s where interior photography gets interesting—when the design is both intentional and a little raw around the edges.

Steel, concrete, and wood – that’s the recipe here.

This apartment is small, but those big windows and all the reflective steel surfaces make it feel twice as bright. The designer Marta .dzene from .arhitekti kept it balanced with warm wood flooring so it doesn’t feel too industrial.

Shooting it wasn’t the easiest – the space is tight, and backing up wasn’t really an option. But that’s the fun part of interior photography: clean lines and smart compositions end up guiding the frame.

Would you live with this much steel, or do you prefer softer finishes?

Forest views, high ceilings, and a home that feels like it’s breathing with the outdoors.

I shot this project for the lovely homeowner .elina , and interior designer absolutely nailed the vibe. The design doesn’t compete with nature—it flows with it.
For me, this was a dream shoot: ergonomic layout, plenty of space to step back (no need for those ultra-wide tricks), and natural light doing half the work for me.

This project is a perfect reminder of why I love shooting architecture photography and interior design photography: it’s about showing how a space feels, not just how it looks. And this one? Calm, smart, and timeless.

Just finished shooting the new “Zābaki” tree‑nursery. Picture a cool wooden lodge that’s also a high‑tech plant lab created by the smart folks at for .

The natural wood cladding isn’t just for looks, it connects the whole building to the landscape. Inside, the beautifully shaped wooden beams don’t just look good, they hold the whole place up, and the speckled stone floor adds some shine. There’s a one‑of‑a‑kind seed freezer hidden here, plus a green roof growing wildflowers. Proof that eco‑friendly can still look awesome.

Every space .design touches is a masterclass in meticulous geometry—and I had the front-row seat to capture it.

White volumes flooded with daylight, then grounded by warm oak so it still feels like home, not a showroom. Every joint laser-aligned—no rogue millimeters on this set. I floated a 24 mm tilt-shift, hugged the grid, and let the natural light polish the timber.

Shot this warm, tactile space for the brilliant .reinberga — a designer who knows how to turn a house into an actual home.

This is a modern family home rebuilt inside the bones of an older house. My goal was to capture the calm flow, layered textures, and cozy volumes — while letting the architecture breathe

What I love here is how nothing screams for attention. It all just… works

Minimalist design, earthy tones, custom woodwork — and zero visual noise

One trick for fellow interior photographers: try shooting the same spot at different times of day. The way natural light moves through a space like this can totally change the mood

Here’s what happens when a 100-year-old apartment meets the sharp vision of .dzene from .arhitekti — and I get to be the lucky one behind the lens.

This shoot was a real lesson in white space politics. The lighter and whiter the walls, the more they act like mirrors. Whatever’s outside — red rooftops, blue skies, green trees — ends up getting projected indoors like a low-key light show. We ended up MacGyvering some pillowcases and sheets over the windows just to control the tones. Not glamorous, but it worked.

What makes this place special isn’t just the cool old details or stylish design — it’s how Marta made it feel modern and cozy at the same time, without losing its original charm. That contrast between the historic wall textures, clean lines, and furniture classics is what makes this a dream to shoot.

And a tip for my fellow interior photographers: white balance lies. Especially in spaces like this. Manual correction and color isolation are your best friends. And sometimes, a bedsheet.
