When business meets purpose 🚀
On November 20, Rokiškis district became a lighthouse of social innovation. The Regional Social Entrepreneurship Forum brought together changemakers from Lithuania and Latvia to showcase how social enterprises transform communities.

From youth inclusion programs to supporting people with disabilities in the job market, social enterprises are proving that business and social impact go hand in hand. As one of the speakers said: "People, community, and the desire to make the world a better place are the most important."

The message is clear: social enterprises are not just businesses, as they're solutions to real community challenges. With the right support and policy framework, they will only grow stronger across the Baltic region.

Want your Interreg project to shine 🔅 and reach even more people? Tagging the Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania Programme isn’t just a formality. This is your ticket to greater visibility, recognition, and support 🗣️When you mention in your social media posts, your project stories travel further⏩️ they’re seen by the Programme team, shared with a wider community, and noticed as part of a bigger cross-border success.
Remember: or are just hashtags ( #) they help with topics, but only is a real tag that connects you to the Programme and the whole Interreg community.

👉Some tips & tricks to make your project more visible:

✅Use the official Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme logo (not distorted, not smaller than other logos)
✅Tag the Programme:
✅Mention your project acronym and number
✅Share at least one news post per reporting period
✅Keep your information easy to find (no hidden PDFs or lost links)

🌍 You care… about the future, about our planet, and especially now, as our earth faces rapid climate change, your engagement truly matters. That’s why it is so uplifting to see the record-breaking attendance at this year’s “Geosite of the Year” event in Nīca Parish.

As the administrators of the Interreg Latvia–Lithuania Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, we are delighted to see how the project “Geosites” (LL-00244) – Enhancing protection and conservation of geological structures in Latvia and Lithuania – is bringing people together and inspiring families to explore, learn, and care for our natural heritage. The project runs from 01.03.2025 to 28.02.2027, and the dedication of the project team is already evident in the success of events like this.

This year’s Geoday gathered a record 138 participants – a clear sign that public interest in nature and its preservation is stronger than ever. It was especially wonderful to see so many families with children, showing that the next generation is eager to discover and protect the world around them.

With engaging presentations, hands-on workshops, and guided hikes, the event offered something for everyone. The enthusiasm and curiosity of all participants made it a truly memorable day.

Have you ever stopped to think about the incredible COURAGE, DETERMINATION, and RESILIENCE it takes to be a firefighter? Fire is never friendly, and every call is a step into the unknown-a moment where someone’s life, home, or future may depend on the strength and skill of these remarkable professionals.

This week, professional firefighters from the State Fire and Rescue Service took part in practical training in Panevėžys, Lithuania, sharpening their skills to handle the most complex and unpredictable situations. These exercises are not just about driving or technical know-how. They are about preparing to face danger

🔥and with unwavering professionalism

Let us take a moment to appreciate and thank those who choose this path -a path that demands not only strength and skill, but also a big heart and a deep sense of duty to protect and save lives.

This training is part of the “PeatFire” project (LL-00007), supported by the Interreg Latvia–Lithuania Programme, aiming to improve cross-border cooperation in peat fire prevention and emergency response.
