Three prominent members of the diplomatic delegation heading to Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in a crucial international summit on ending the war in the Strip were killed in a tragic traffic accident.
The accident occurred on the international road in South Sinai, 50 kilometers before reaching the tourist city. The official vehicle carrying the delegation overturned, killing three people instantly and seriously injuring two others who are receiving treatment in hospitals.

The Central Bank of (CBL) has reported that the rise in gold and currency prices has led to a positive impact on the total value of the investment portfolios, which amounted to approximately $98.8 billion.
The announcement came after a meeting of the Risk and Investment Committee of the Central Bank of Libya (RICCBL) that was held on 8 October at the CBL’s headquarters in the capital Tripoli.
Of the total amount of the investment portfolios, gold represents a value of $18.164 billion, or 18.38%, most of which is used as a currency cover.

As part of an attempt to bring accountability to the oil and electricity sectors, a reviewing technical committee has put contracts with foreign and local companies during the past five years under scrutiny.
The committee, termed the Technical Committee for Reviewing Oil and Electricity Contracts and Contractual Policies (TCROECCP), said the feedback from the relevant firms of these sectors were positive and they were coming forward with answers to important inquiries, Al-Rasmiya TV reported.

According to Dr. Abdulwahhab, Director of the Center in Zintan, the outbreak of Q fever was detected in two flocks of sheep in the city, marking the first official record of the fever in Libya, -Masar TV reported.

Seven Libyan citizens kidnapped by Israel in the international waters have arrived in Istanbul on Saturday. They were heading to Gaza on their boat taking part with the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) in an attempt to break the inhumane blockade imposed on the Palestinian people for many months.
The flotilla was carrying food and medicine and consisted about 50 civilian boats including the libyans’ boat named Omar Al-Mukhtar. The Israeli regime detained about 500 activists on these vessels including parliamentarians, doctors, peace activists, artists along with Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg.

The Antiquities Authority announced the commencement of restorations work at an archaeological site of the in the city of in eastern , damaged by in September 2023.
This work includes the restoration of massive stone blocks from the gate of the Sanctuary of Demeter at the entrance to Wadi Balgdir. It also includes excavation work in the area south of the temple, according to a statement by the Antiquities Authority.

A drug dealer accused of promoting hashish via delivery services has been arrested Saturday in the city of Musaid near the Libyan-Egyptian border, according to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Two days earlier, the URC successfully seized a large liquor factory in the Qubbah area with an estimated capacity of up to 60,000 liters. “This operation is part of ongoing security campaigns to combat crime and protect the community,” it said.
