إن مما يتمناه كل مؤمن في هذه الدنيا التيقن من حب الله عز وجل ، فتجده في كل مواقف حياته يتلمس هذا الحب ويبحث عنه ، فإذا وقع في أمرٍ ما تدبّره وحاول الوقوف على خفاياه باحثاً دون ملل عن أثر حب الله له ، فإذا أصابته مصيبة صبر لله تعالى واستشعر لطف الله عز وجل فيها حيث كان يمكن أن يأتي وقعها أشد مما أتت عليه ، وإذا أصابته منحة خير وعطاء شكر الله سبحانه وتعالى خائفاً من أن يكون هذا العطاء استدراجاً منه عز وجل ، فقديماً قيل : " كل منحة وافقت هواك فهي محنة وكل محنة خالفت هواك فهي منحة ".
